Hi all,
My son is crushed. The Pirates of the Caribbean game he has been working on and saving often has gone missing. I should say the game itself doesn't show his saved game as an available option when doing a "Load". However, on the XBOX system menu Memory | XBOX Hard Drive we can see his saved game under the "Pirates of the Caribbean" section. All 173 blocks of it. So it appears the saved game file is on the hard disk, but the game itself doesn't recognise it. Has anyone out there got any clues as to how to go about getting it back??? Thanks in advance! |

As mentioned above, it could be that he's signed in under a different profile to the one the save is linked to. If you're not signed into the same profile, the saves wont show in the game.

Thanks all for your responses. POTC doesn't support profiles. All saved games are visible to all players.
We did see the option to copy the file to a memory unit. We also thought that it might be worth copying the file to a memory unit and then back again to the XBOX HDD. We've just returned from the local computer swap meet and I've been told that you can't get memory cards for the original XBOX anymore. So it's off to ebay we go. thanks again! |

Oh, it's on the original Xbox? I thought you were talking about the 360.

Softmod your xbox, then you can just copy the savegame without a memory card.
