I've been trying for years to identify this track. Have a clip of it from an ad in the TDF - you'll have to excuse the voiceover, but you can clearly hear the melody.

I've heard it used in over 2 minute clips, there's no vocals to the track... I'm not convinced that it's by a band with any front man.

I fully expect it'd be someone like (but not) Emerson, Lake and Palmer... or an artist which does stuff of similar style.

I tried to track down a song used for WWE Main Event on Foxtel few years ago but the email i got back said that it was just music sent along with some other material that gets sent to TV channels to use randomly.
Possibly an original song that was added because they didnt have to pay royalties for using Copyrighted material.

Ive also heard the song i was chasing used in State Of Origin telecasts.

yeah email / ring up the channel! it doesn't even sound like a real song, theres like a couple of bars of music then a weird breakdown /stop. but its got like a rock beat to it, so you'd usually be expecting some lyrics?!

While I appreciate the help some people try to give when identifying songs etc, and this is just a general observation not just in this case but in general, but I must admit it's incredible how tone-deaf some people are when suggesting songs that sound absolutely nothing alike :/

Hey, still no idea, I'm just merely pointing out that people keep throwing out these tracks that sound nothing like samples provided (not just in this case, but also in other threads).

I mean does anyone actually think "Am I ever gonna see your face again" sounds remotely like it in this case? One of the other suggestions made through another source was Stereophonics - Dakota - like, WTF!?
I'm just trying to figure out if that's normal for someone who didn't grow up playing an instrument, I dunno. Struggling to fathom how it's just that far off.
