Unlike the first X-Files movie, this one will not follow the alien conspiracy (aka "mythology") storyline. The movie is a supernatural thriller in the tradition of many of the show's "standalone" episodes.

Apparently due for release on 24th of July, but there hasn't been too much info floating around.

im so excited, got a couple of gold class tickets given as a gift just waiting for this movie.

I remember when the last movie came out and they said all will be revealed. Well that was a f***ing huge lie. Still gonna watch this though because x-files kicks some serious ass.

Sweet as; I was never a massive X-Files fan but I did enjoy watching it when I did, and Duchovny is just such a dude.

Leaked, pfft :) I call shenanigans. Its a conspiracy to get you more interested than you otherwise might be.

Yup.

Hopefully one of the stations will start running repeats when the movie is out. If they can run Friends again i reckon they can get away with x-files.

yeah i freaked the f*** out in that part, i saw the movie at some shoddy cinema on the gold coast, i imediately left the cinema after the film and bought my first action figure, it was scully holding a mobile phone and one of the humans with the see through tissue and skeleton in housing.

Wow, July 25, they've really rushed this one into production haven't they? Didn't seem that long ago that it was greenlit..

(Checks Wikipedia - yep the script was only completed less than a year ago, and the film was officially greenlit in October! If only The Hobbit could be done this fast..)

haha I had that groganus, among others, I was a certified x-files nutjob when I was about 18, I had my own x-files website at the time too and made mulder, scully, skinner, krycek and cigarette smoking man skins for Quake 2
