I'm not sure if this is what you are after or not, but yesterday i was linked to this which was described as the best comparison on the internet of the top two in-your-ear ear-phones: Review: Shure E3C vs Etymotic Research ER-6i.

My Pioneer HDJ1000's have been serving me well.. They're on the higher side of the quality/price scale though, depends on what you're using them for though i guess.

One thing about Etymotics is their customer service... my ear phones broke 3 times (rough handling by me)... and more more time out of warranty. And everytime, they've replaced them for free (i just snail mailed the thing to them) and they fedex'ed a brand new pair to me. sound quality is good, but if you want bass, you probably might not like them

earphones are $2 at any $2 shop.

if you want sound quality, you won't get it under $400, or in a device that fits inside your ear hole.

He was asking for in ear earphones and you posted ones that go over your ears.

I saw an excellent opportunity to imply you have big ears because the headphones you posted fit inside your ears.

Comedy at its best.

Fish...

Do you have the cheaper $200 or expensive $400 Etymotics?

You ever used one in a bus/noisy place? How well does it prevent background noise?
Its hard finding any place that actually reviews these rather rare earphones =\

I've never understood the point of headphones for flat out listening to music...

Thats what speakers are for...

Maybe if you're a DJ or you're Mixing live music or something, but really... I always see them as a fallback for if you can't use speakers...

The ones i have are the ER6i, the $200 ones.

I use them everwhere (except work, cause i can't hear anything if my manager starts calling for me). With the tri-flange tips, they isolate sound very well. I hardly hear the traffic on my walk to work though the city... and almost got run over because of that :(

my computer is in the living room, so if I listen to music on it I disturb everyone. There's other people to consider here. It's ok though mongie, you go on being selfish subjecting everyone to your emo rap.

I bought some Shure e3c's while overseas and I am not a fan. I still use them but I generally find them quite uncomfortable and annoying to use. I do need to spend some more time playing with the different sized earbud things though.

I have the ER6i's and LOVE them!

They supress sound awesomely well :D

Initially they were uncomfortable, but after a while I found them comfortable, they have good sound - very impressed with them.

I've alwasy been a headphone type person.. I was the wanker at the back of the bus on the way to uni with the giant headphones on.

I .never. walked around town with them around my neck though, that is the pinicle of gayness.
