Topic: "Open Season" Toys R Us' Free Wii Game?

Was reading through Wikipedia and the confirmed launch titles for the Wii, and I stumbled across this as I was looking at the game Open Season

The Wii version of this title will supposedly be given away as a 'free game' for those in Australia who pre-ordered a Nintendo Wii at Toys "R" Us stores.

Anyone else got any news about this?

Oh righto, I must've missed it, and the search thread isn't working. Oh well

Huh? I thought this was only announced a few days ago, I don't remember any discussion about it.

No mention of how much a "family pack" is though... or what the other 4 games are.

The other 4 games are probably just each separate game that's in Wii Sports...lame if it is

there is a story on www.aussie-nintendo.com about this, however if you read the forums, people have been contacting stores, some the Mt Gravatt garden city store and they still say you can get zelda.

nothing is concrete yet, but taht pack sounds like a pretty good deal there...

hmm, rather pay $600 and get the console with Zelda and the new Monkeyball, they're the only launch titles I'm currently interested in.

I was hoping they'd give away a gritty cyberpunk shooter.

I've got gamecube contollers I can use in it if I need to, probably won't be in a rush to get a second wiimote controller straight away until I'm use to it / know it's worth spending the extra dosh on.

really? ah well, it doesn't matter too much. I'll have one of the wiimote's with the console and Zelda's a single player game anyway. Monkey ball, I can live without multiplayer for a bit.

Apparently so many people the EB aren’t bothering to setup a pre-order deal because they have sufficient pre-orders already.
So many people that Amazon.com had to suspend pre-orders because of server overload.
