Rodolphe what OS are you running? I saw on the Windows knowledge base that soem systems running ME have huge probs after running the system or 3rd party defrag programs. There is some issue with a file and a fix is posted on the windows site. Some ME systems wont even boot after a defrag apparently. |

Or you could reformat and reinstall. I find in some cases its actually quicker to reformat and reinstall my OS instead of defragging :). |

I only defrag my windows partition which is ~2gig so it doesn't take long at all, but it apparently has dire consequences... |

windows defrag is the best for windows. Microsoft writes programs specific to their product. The 3rde party programs may free up mroe hd space and defrag it better but windows defrag defrags it the way windows likes it |
