I scored awesomely this time around.

New Digi cam.
Cars Window's Tinted.
2x Gold Class vouchers.

These I've yet to do but have been signed up for/pre-paid.

I get to go scuba diving with sharks.

And the two I can't wait to do.

I get to drive a real v8 supercar as hard and fast as I want over 6 laps at QLD Raceway/Willowbank.

And I get to Thrash a WRX Rallycar over 6 laps at I think it was Hothman Creek rally circuit.

Actually get to drive, not just driven round, will take video camera and we'll see how well I can drive a real racecar :)

Hell'uva lot of fun to come!

Ah, was for my 21st.

Can't wait to go all out on the supercar, probably going to be just a bit too powerful for what I'm used to though :P

Got that one from my old man who wanted me to experience what a "real" v8 is like, not my old 74' slower than new 4cyl v8 :)

My mate's dad is doing the same thing. He paid roughly $300 for it... You've either got some good mates or some bad parents.

what happens if you crash the car?

spidz - absolutely nothing, i already asked that :)

AFAIK the track has a lot of room between going off the tarmac and hitting a wall.

Pingu - My old's spent at least $2k in pressies.

I'm doing this on the 8th October. I think it's just a done up SS and XR8, not a real V8 Supercar. If you crash you pay the first $1000 :(

I want to do the WRX one as well

Yeah I thought it was going to be a real supercar, but na. My brother did it earlier this year... still extremely fast though :)

my friends got me a v8 supercar thing a few years ago, but i was the passenger for 10 laps. still pretty awesome tho, and they can nail it in ways you just can't - thought it was going to roll in the hairpin every time.

best thing was i got to drive my own car round the track a few times after sitting through all the driving lessons for the people that DID get to drive the v8s :D

I'd rather trash someone elses car which is covered and I only have to pay like 1000$ rather than something I own that ive poured thousands into on mods n s*** like some of the fellows on maxeshaus.

So I'd say it doesnt take much guts at all.

its all a matter of taste.

some people like a nice bitumen race track, clean and fun - just like they like a nice clean woman.

other like rally driving on dirt roads, with holes in them every where, mud and s*** all over the place - chances are these blokes like their women like that also.

I got iPod Armor for my birthday, rockin. Was looking for a decent, hard, protective case for my ipod and there isn't much in the way of good hard ipod cases. Theres lots of gay skins and socks and leather cases, but if you want a case that actually protects your ipod then your choices are rather limited. iPod armor f***en rocks though, had to get it imported from the US, but it still only worked out about $20 more than a leather case or a crappy hard case that you would buy in stores here.

Real v8 supercar ... hahah

They're not even close.

It's a stripped out xr8 with a roll cage.

Standard engine - just an exhaust. It will be on slicks though ... so will be a bit quicker than a normal road car.

Anyway have fun ... it'll still be a good day out.

Well, I was checked it and one of them is the supercheap (lawl) V8 Supercar, they're not standard XR8's just on slicks with an exhaust.

yeh I was gonna say aren't v8 supercares worth hundreds of thousands of dollars? I doubt they'd just let any sk (and by that I mean 'us') drive one.

Yeah i work for a v8 team.

A proper car is worth ~$500k and requires complete rebuilding after every round ... so there is no finacially viable way to rent one to the public.
