Aired tonight in USA (for real this time :P).

The second season starts where the survivors have left off with Jack, Locke and others going down the hatch and finding out what is under there. One of the castaways is chosen to descend into the mysterious hatch, and Shannon stumbles upon a shockingly familiar face in the jungle.

The band of friends, family, enemies and strangers must continue to work together against the cruel weather and harsh terrain if they want to stay alive on the island. But, as they have discovered during their forty-plus days on the island, danger and mystery loom behind every corner, and those they thought could be trusted may turn against them. Even the most beloved heroes have secrets.

Only comment on the actual show, not how you got it etc.

This thread will contain spoilers.

Meant to be lots of answers in first 3 eps.

I asked a mate why he liked Prison Break so much when he was also an Oz fan... turns out he just has Lostitis... the condition you get after watching Lost where you are just happy if ANY progress at all is made in TV series

Apparently the backlash from viewers made the ABC execs lean on the writers to actually stop wasting our time and move the damn story along.

It shows.

Though having said that, too often there were lingering, pointless shots of scenery that served no purpose only to drag things out longer. The best example is when Jack starts to move along the tunnel after picking up the torch. Let's look at.....NOTHING! And now, turn to the other side and slooooowly move the torch from the wall to up the ceiling! FASCINATING! Oh look! Corroded metal containers with no colour! RIVETTING MUST-SEE TELEVISION!!

I reckon we learn more in the "Previously on Lost" section. :P

Hopefully Michelle Rodriguez's inclusion into the cast will at least provide some eye candy, and get rid of that Kate woman.

Some of those scenery shots were probably important. They showed water leaking in, and attempts at blocking off part of the tunnel with concrete and steel.

As for the numbers...

I recently found an interesting natuarlly occuring thoery found in our world that states everyone has a mirror image somewhere in the world. You may have heard of this. Its called Roussau's genetic mirror theory, and I must say it is very interesting. Roussau's genetic mirror theory says that everyone in the world has an exact twin somewhere, however according to the theory you never encounter this person, by laws of probablitly and other natuaral occuring phemnomen. Its the theory that was devised by a French Mathematician named Marseille Roussau in the year 1988. He used a series of numbers to explain his theory. Now I know you're not going to believe this but here goes.

4 8 15 16 23 42

Let me explain...

The 4 stands for 4 degrees of separation (not 6 or 7 as commonly stated.) Roussau believed that everyone in the world was connected by four different people. So in theory could meet yourself by using four different people connected to you. Example: Your brother's, boss's, neighbor nephew, knows your mirror. Hard to believe, I know but keep reading.

The 8 stands for the eight continent, or the only place in the world where you could meet your mirror. He calculated it to be somewhere in the south pacific. Now we know its not actually as large as the other contintents but its used figurtively because everyone in all 7 continents could meet there mirror on the 8th universal continent.

The 15 stands for the chances of you acually meeting yourself on this place, as in 15 out of 4,815,162,342. Look at the second set "815." Ring any bells? Interesting huh?

The 16 stands for the maximum amount of people that could encounter thier twin all at the same time. Think about the number of main characters.

The 23 is the number of years apart your twin and yourself are. You are not the same age as your twin. By chance and probablity it takes 23 years exactly for the same genes that made you to be connected again to form another you.

The 42 stands for the maximimum number of years your twin and yourself can be alive at the same time. However people do die at diffferent times so thats why everyone isn't dead at 75. For example my twin was born on Sept. 6 2003 b/c i was born on Spet. 6 1980. Now that doesn't mean i will die in the year 2045, I could, but its not set in stone. My twin could die when he is 16, and then the whole thing starts over again.

This is all very complicated and I don't know how well I explained it but the connections with the show are too coinidental to not be real.

Roussau and his team (wife, included) went to the 8th continent. You can figure out how they died and why by the numbers and equations. It also fits with every character. You can predict when they will die. There are others on the island who are twins of the survivors, but have been there 23 years longer.

There is a book Roussau wrote 16 years ago in 1988 when he came up with the theory. Thats where I got it from.

You could at least reference where you cut and pasted that from Bodgie.

Edit: It also seems kind of odd that the only results google returns on "Genetic mirror theory" are all related to Lost, and how the above text that Bodgie shamelessly stole is only ever quoted as being posted by "someone online". I wonder if this theory and this book even exist, or if its some kind of viral marketing for the show and this mysterious post is actually made up by the makers of the show and seeded out into the interweb.

Edit Again: Ok, go to http://www.oceanicflight815.com/ click the barcode down the bottom, and type in "theislandiswaiting", without the quotes of course, and hit submit.

Taking that into account, I'm calling shenanigans. If this was some real book and some real theory, someone would have picked up on it before, we heard the numbers aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages ago. Isn't it a little bit too co-incidental that someone has just happened to stumble onto the secret behind the show, in a book that can't be found, written by a guy nobody has ever heard of, on the day the second season starts airing, at the same time this Easter Egg is put on the website?

so according to that created-for-the-show theory, that would make the old french chick kate's genetic double?
Khel

It has to be either made up, or a piece of marketing for the show. I mean, if this Marseille Roussau exists in the world of Lost and led an expedition that included his wife to the Island, that would explain who the crazy french chick is. He came up with the theory in 1988? Well assuming the show is set in the current day, and it started in 2004, that means its 2004 in Lost. 2004 minus 16 years (the length of time Roussau has been on the island) is 1988.

So yeah, imo its either something someone has made up to fit the show, or its a piece of viral marketing and this "Genetic Mirror Theory" actually exists inside the world of Lost and not our world.

Last I had read, the whole numbers thing was actually written into the show after some nerds were discussing the numbers on a forum, after they first appeared in a very early early episode. They decided to make it into a significant sequence (ie. Hurley's episode).

khel i h8 u! (lol @ teenie bopper shorthand)

also a quote from another forum i frequent...

(Quote) Ok, rather a few things i noticed.

Desmond obviously lives with someone else, he was in the top bunk and im pretty sure i saw a couple of dinner plates set out. Im thinking this was Ethan.

Desmond injects himself with something that has the numbers CR 4-81516-23 42 on the bottle, Im thinking that what ever it is gives them super human strength. Desmond did pull Kate in pretty easy and you saw him going up and down those steps, thats was pretty damn quick for sure. Also, QUARANTINE on the inside of the hatch? Makes you think that the virus is on the outside rather than the inside. Also, remeber when Claire woke up screaming saying that someone injected her with something? Maybe thats the cure?

Also, when Kate, Jack, Boone and Locke went looking for Charlie and Claire they find that the tracks split in two (Plus, hard to carry two people as locke said) The tracks that Jack and Kate followed took them to Charlie and Ethan whereas the tracks that Locke and Boone followed took them directly to the entrance to the Hatch. Not solid proof or anything, but interesting none the less.

Also spotted that Adam Rutherford made an apperance, if not a brief one in this episode. Hes the guy that jack lets die in the emergency room to save his new broken bride. Recognise the last name? Shannon Rutherford...... Could this be a link, father, brother......he also died at 8:15, same number as the planes flight number.

Oh yeah, and 108 is painted on the inside of the walls, thats 4+8+15+16+23+42=108

lotsa theories been thrown about...
groydis
Posts: 480

id agree with most of that if it wasnt for the fact that ethan took claire to the french chick, if ethan and desmond where in kahootz then why didnt he take her to desmond.

i do agree that desmond is living/lived with someone else as there was 2 beds.

also cant decide which i liked more, the first ep of season 3 for nip tuck or first ep of lost for season 2... both sooo awesome.

Rofl at that genetic twin theory. It dosnt exist.

As khel pointed out the guy dosnt seem to exist. For a supposed theory that is used in a tv show you would think it would get at least a couple of hits in Google, or even various mathmatic journals. It dosn't.

Next, the chances that another random person in some random place, excluding twins born toether, having 99.9999% of the exact genes you carry (making them your random twin) is extreamly small. As the possible combinations of various genes from the 20 amino acids, with all the genetic mixing going on during reproduction is extreamly large, this is why it is quite probable that every human in existance is genetically unqiue.
As for the degree's of seperation, havnt many mathmatical models shown it to be around 7? Certainly not 4.

Anyway, for a TV show making its own theory for the sake of a good plot, I'm all for it. :D

Some of that stuff Heardy posted makes sense, except when Boon and Locke found the hatch it was buried and obviously hadn't been opened or used for a very long time. So that'd mean if Ethan was living inside the hatch and the people from inside the hatch were the ones harassing claire and charlie, there has to be another way to get in and out.

On that quarentine thing... it has to be that the outside is bad. They wouldnt have put those words on the inside of the hatch if it was for people outside to see... damn. The guy that died becuase jack was saving the girl has to be another shannon/jack link becuase that would be scary s***.

OK, I'm lost (no pun intended). Who is Shannon that has a link to Jack? Not Boone's sister is it? And when did Ethan take Claire to Rousseau?

I thought the story was a bit hurried, they should have introduced Desmond in an earlier episode (like last season) and then shown him now, to absolutely blow everyone away. As it was done, it seemed all too contrived with his "Brother/Another life" speech.

Boon is shannon's step brother. Its possible that The man that was in the ER with the girl Jack saved was Shannon's blood brother (or another relation) because he has the same last name as Shannon and nothing is too much of a coincidence in this show.

And when did Ethan take Claire to Rousseau?
Rousseau had scratches on her face/arms and Claire remembered doing them, then Rousseau dissappeared. Claire also said she had been injected with something... suggesting she got some of the CR 4-81516-23 42 love juice.

Which would make sense as boon had to come into the family via a marriage after one of her parents was 'removed'. So that all fits nicely.

Not a bad ep, but it was let down by Mike whinging about his kid and there were way too flashbacks about him. The sooner he dies the better, and same with the hobbit guy as well.

The trailer to ep 3 looks promising. Hopefully it wont be full of useless flashbacks.

Will you pipe down Reverend Evil. We all know you want all the males to die so you can jerk off non-stop to Lost.

Dont read down if you havn't seen episode 2.

Ethan (the guy that kidnapped the pregnat girl right?) was not living down the hatch because in ep 2 you can clearly see the guy who lives in the hatch, has artificial light to simulate sunlight. Why would you need to simulate light if you can go outside? It also said "quarantine" on the hatch door.

Who also started laughing when they saw the expression on Kate's face when she was crawling in the airvents and the music started playing?

Its clear, given the 'preview' of next week's episode that desmond hasnt been out of the hatch and that the reason he has guns in the hatch is to stop the people like ethan - there are more of them... ZOMBIES! (or as jin called them, hunters)

First up the time shift of the ep freaked me out, i was thinking i had already seen kate and locke and jack go into the hatch and hey there they go in again :p

I liked the flashbacks because i thought they were necessary to show why michael would have 'given' a s*** in the first place.. i mean f*** he's had the kid ripped away from him for some time and all of a sudden the tables turn and hey by the way here have this kid to look after forever

Seems with the end ON THE NEXT LOST bit they're subscribing more to the 'cut the crap' train of thought with less backfilling and more omg what is going to happen type stuff... we might be up for quite an action packed series if this keeps up

I thought this ep was good, but the way they showed the same happenings as last week kinda annoyed me. The whole season was a steady flow forward and never re-covered the same scenes like they've done this season. I still liked the first and second eps alot, I just don't think they should have covered the same stuff in both eps.

Anyone speak Japanese (or whatever language Jin speaks) - maybe he says something more revealing than just 'the others' like 'holy s*** they're zombies'

The hard part with Lost is that they're sort of making it up as they go along, so as much as we want to figure out whats going on, if we actually do they'll just change the script and we'll be back to square 1.

I'm sure everyone saw the symbol on the shark..?

ep2 showed that a lot of pressure had been put on the producers. I think ep1 was originally intended to end with Kate disappearing down the tunnel.. but they had to put in the jack going down and showing us desmond in that ep to placate the network/masses.

it's also the first time they've done a bit about a character on the island and other characters near by but unseen and tieing the story in.. generally that is only done in flashbacks.

The flashbacks are part of the show's dynamic - you will have them in every episode. Deal.

I rewatched the first episode when Jack's inside - you can hear Kate scream Jack's name over the music. :)

FYI, Jin speaks Korean. I do believe there are translations floating around for some of the stuff he and Sun have said over the course of the show.

Not for much longer according to the previews for ep 4...

3 was an interesting episode... Michelle rodregiez joined the cast for what seems to be a interesting part even if her explanaiton for being around was a bit dubious... Even saw atabezi around the place (from Oz if anyone remembers).. Interested to see how the others play into it all and where the 'disease' is coming from or how it actually affects people

I dunno. When I think about it, really, the only reason Im actually frustrated at the end of these episodes is because I have to wait another week for more. I dont actually think they are bad episodes in retrospect. Certainly the last 2 have been no super impressive episode ones, but they have still been entertaining.

If going into more locke back story means that we get to find out how he ended up in a wheelchair then im all for it.

I'm starting to agree with what everyone is saying about the whole flashback thing going overboard. HOWEVER I think that it's pretty important, and we'd all like to know how Locke ends up in a wheel-chair, I'm busting to find out why. It just annoys me why the f*** Locke felt like he needed to get into the hatch, and why they never listen to the fat dood.

I think they should pick up the pace a bit though, I find myself at the end of every ep waiting for something more to happen, it's going a bit slow for my liking. Or maybe it's because this season I have to wait a whole week to see the next episode, where as in the first season I had them all infront of me to watch, so there was no waiting :).

The flashbacks are part of the show's dynamic - you will have them in every episode. Deal.

When flashbacks take up 35 mins of a 42mins episode, i believe its a bit overboard. Especially for me as its a leap of faith to keep watching this show.

I rather like the cliffhanger built suspense and drawn out story line, goes against the 5 second attention span required for most TV.

Well it makes the whole shock about his wife speaking English a little pointless. I was assuming the piece in the "next time" was a flash back where it was interpreted as English rather than him speaking English.

well we know what is powering the whole place, and that there is another research station on the island, and that the other survivors have being dying off from some disease, and that bernard is really alive, and why hurley hates those numbers other than them giving him bad luck. i cant see why u think the episode went completely nowhere.

Every two eps could easily be compacted to make one cool ep minus all the bulls***. And what's happened with that thing that tried to pull Locke down into the hole? There's been no mention of it. It's like it never happened.

A 22 minute ep of the US Office show is alot more entertaining than a 44 minute ep of Lost.

and that bernard is really alive

Praise the lord, he's alive!!! Does anyone care that the husband of some chick that was in the first couple of eps is alive? I know I don't.

Well I for one have to agree with Rev. First few eps of Season 2, I sat through forty minutes and felt like I'd only seen about five minutes of content.

Bland flashbacks and excessively drawn out all around.

And yeh, the Bernard-being-alive was blehhh predictable. Sure it was inevitable, but I'd rather they'd mentioned it in passing rather than making a huge deal out of it.

Also, I thought Lost had finally moved on from the soppy slow motion montage endings >:(

You can't stop me from watching it, so ner!

Another thing that I thought was great. Jin, Michael and Sawyer get the s*** beaten outta them, and now they're buddies with the people that did it. No explanations needed. Are we gonna find out next ep what they're doing or will we be treated to another 44 minutes of Michelle Rodrigues screwing up her face and acting all tough and s***.

She acts all tough and beats the f*** outta Jin, Soyer and Michael and then what the f***, she comes back to get Soyer after releasing Michael and Jin and they are all best pals. It's s***ting me up the wall, why the f*** don't Michael, Jin, and Soyer just say f*** you ball bag I'm getting the f*** outta here back to my camp. It's bulls***.

Also when they first got onto the island and Jin is like THE OTHERS, THE OTHERS, what the f*** happened to them? Were their friends on the island f***ing walking zombies? For f***s sake we need some god damn answers.

********** OMG!! HOW BORING IS THIS SHOW GETTING??? **********

And now we gotta wait three weeks to see another episode go absolutely nowhere.

High light of episode 5 was when Michael asked Michelle Rodrigues' character what they're so afraid of and she responds with some smart-ass comment about "let's all sit around the fire and tell storys". I'm like, WTF??? Instead of giving us some info they give us nothing. f***ING NOTHING!!!!!

Whoever is writing this show is gonna win the award for "Best Story Telling That Goes Nowhere But Keeps People Watching".

On a side note, I watched season 3 of Curb Your Enthusiasm and laughed like a crazy bastard thru every ep. That is more than I can say about being interested with Lost.

Talk about really bad timing for a three week break, could they have picked a worse episode to end it on. I was like, oh well hopefully a good show will run in lost's timespot.

Sorry, i mean, what do you mean no progress, she found her goddamn ring which everyone knew was buried with the f***ing bottle.

The funniest part for me was when the korean chick was crying and my gf goes "She needs Locke to come along and tell her to stop looking for it".. 2 seconds later...

TicMan I'm pretty sure you'll never find out any of it. The f***ing writers are just making it up as they go along, and they would have probably forgotten what the f*** happened at the beginning. Personally, I couldn't give a f*** what Gin used to do before he met Sun, ffs get some action happeneing. I have a feeling that they won't even get off the island and one day the show will just end, with them all sitting around happily over the camp fire. f***in fgts.

In 24 they have three staff memebers working full time ensuring that the continuing plot makes sense with what's happened in the past, and that necessary story lines are wrapped up within the allotted time of 24 episodes.

I suspect that Lost has zero.

It was cool seeing Jack in the hospital. I guess we know now who was in the SUV that hit his wife.

The best thing about last week's episode was that there isn't going to be any more friggin' Boon/Shannon flashbacks. I really couldn't care less about either of those two.

a friend sent me a message tonight: "it's been sort of b.s. cause u think they'd be working together by now to build some sorta boat or at least proper shelters. there's like 30-40 of them just sitting around on the beach all day... wtf do they do... seriously u'd get bored so fkn quickly. they could've built a fort or at least stuck up some traps and sh!t by now to keep them safe from the others. that Sun chick has been gardening for like 3 months straight now... she should have a bloody forest of sh!t by now"

What's the deal with the f***ing computer that they have the enter the numbers in anyway, they haven't even touched on that for a long time. I bet the writers have totally forgotten about it. I thought ep 7 was good explaining the new characters. At least they didn't just leave it how it was with them just thrown in .. it gives a bit more back story to them and why they're all like they are now.

There was an article on Dark Horizons where the producers talk about what the audience will find out this season, and it looks like they want to explain alot of stuff. Here's the article.

They plan to explain why the plane crashed around the end of the season, and definitely learn more about the monster. Finally, Mr. Eko's stick is apparently a key clue.

I couldn't really pick anything up from the episode about his stick, did anyone else?

quote for joo rev

Love is in the air: Expect a romantic quadrangle involving Ana Lucia, Jack, Kate and Sawyer to heat up now that all four are on the same side of the island. While Ana Lucia and Jack flirted in the airport before the doomed flight, Rodriguez has other ideas. "Jack and Ana Lucia are too similar," says the currently single actress. "I made a phone call to the producers and was like, 'You guys need to look at this chemistry [between Ana Lucia and Sawyer].' My character's a bossy little fanatic, and he's really good at making jokes out of everything. Chemistry comes when opposites attract."

Man that was a ghey ep.

I love how Locke shows the black dude the film and he asks for his opinion and he just stares blankly and walks off. What is the deal with people never f***ing talking to each in this show for f***s sake. If someone asks a question, don't make a dumb retarded face. f***ing answer them you f***ing rude pricks!

I pray to god they don't go back thru everyones god-damn back story again either. We know where everyoine is from so get the f*** on with the show already.

Wow, I must say I was pretty impressed with ep 12. You got a decent amount of information out of it, and an insight into Echo's (Ekul's?) history. I liked it. Discuss. Btw I don't think I'd be scared of a big cloud of black smoke either. KKEKEKES

When they started with Adebisi's story i wondered for a silly moment how they were going to re-cap 10 years in Oz and his death at the hands of an Islamic extremist :-)

With Augustus being a long time main character and now Adebisi taking a major role, all they really need to do is throw in Schillinger with a bit of Tobias and I think Lost would top out Law & Order for pinching Oz's cast. All those New York based actors with very little work to keep them busy... But it has to be said, once in Oz always Oz.

no but a lot of ppl on lost forums are referencing that in regards to the monster. the monster being nanbots etc.

I think there's more to it than that even, a big part of the book was the swarms of nanobots learning and reaching a stage where they were imitating human beings, right down to appearance. I wouldn't be surprised if Crichton's book is the inspiration or even the unmentioned original source for the plot of the show.

yeh was a good ep.

The clothes that Kate found belong to the 'others' the bloke who Ethan was getting in trouble from is the 'leader' of the others and he puts on the old scrappy clothes and fake beard when he goes out to chat to them (my theory anyways).

lets not forget who echo is - he was some psycho badass in his 'previous' life, so it might mean more then that.. who knows

That sounds like an Ok idea, but I'd rather they wrapped lost up in like 2 more f***ing eps. They can all get rescued and then come back and bomb the island, thus killing the others. Jack and Kate can then get busy and John can go back to his wheel chair.

^^ Good ending.

i actually didn't like the episode that much, they didn't leave me wanting more like they usually do.

They rolled out this new hospital story pretty much in one hit, and gave us some good clues about the others (ie fake beard, fake clothes etc) which is great. But i really would have preferred a longer more suspensful roll out of this new 'medical' station.

ps. isnt there some medicine in the first hatch, desmond was injecting himself with?

pps. they might not be the 'others' (or there might be two groups). the organised others might just dress up to imitate the dirty others.

ppps. Henry Gale is soo an other.

Nope, definitely the same group: the same actor was used between the two episodes, and I believe the crediting was the same (i.e. M C Gainey as Mr Friendly)

They dress dirty to appear they are wild jungle people, when they are infact Dharma scientists continuing the project, which somehow involves deceiving the survivors, probably because they are being manipulated to take over the project - which is most likely maintenance of weapons systems involving the technology described in the orientation film.

spoliers***********

If, like me, you're not enjoying the prospect of another gap after episode 15, Maternity Leave, (2 weeks without a new episode, this time) heres a few reasons to hang in there!

1. The issue of what made Flight 815 crash is going to be dealt with in season two and definitively answered by the end of season two. The plane did not crash by accident, it crashed for a very specific reason.
2. The Walt story will be resolved this season.
3. In future flashbacks, we will get more answers about Jack's past, and his tattoos.
4. We will get more information about the hatch and what's behind the magnetic wall.
5. We will find out more about Libby this season.

Did he shoot himself at the very end? Looked like he shot the wall next to him.

Walts ransom, or did they brain wash him lawl.

looks like he shot his arm. think he might be setting up henry so that jack etc will go after the others.

*this post contains spoilers for ep20, dont read further if you want things to be suprising*

i knew michael was so full of s*** when his story didnt match up with kate and claire finding the others outfits in the medical hatch.

didnt expect him to go weird and shoot anna and libby, but it didnt suprise me as much as everyone is wanking on about.

i didnt expect anna's character to stoop so low to f*** sawyer, and it's kind of lame that michelles rodrigues id rather do time then community service was the reason she got killed off and took *who ever plays libby* with her.

anyway next ep is about eko and jack going off to find the reason why the island cures people, that i cant wait for.

In my thinking michael is either a brain washed other or he just wants jack and co to get all angry, get the guns and help him find walt by force since his ears seemed to prick up when they were talking about sawyer and the guns..

theres 2 groups of others i believe. the group that stayed in the hatch that kate and others found and the group that walked past the hiding eko and jin.

heres part of an interview with damon and carlton who are the writers

I got a call from Michelle's agent saying, "Would you guys be interested in Michelle Rodriguez? But she's really only interested in being on the show for a year."
Then she got this DUI and Damon and I looked at each other and we were like, "Oh, great. Everybody is going to think we're killing her off because she got a DUI." But there really wasn't anything we could do about that. I mean, the story was set. We had made plans. With Lost, we think it out well ahead of when we actually shoot it. We thought about altering our plan, but [this] was in fact what was best for the show. The fact that she got a DUI would come and go and what would live on would be the show, and our plan was still the best plan for the character. Ironically, we actually thought about changing it the other way around once [the DUI] happened, but it really was the best story. We wanted to tell the best story.

And obviously that decision was further mitigated by the fact that Libby is shot at the same time as Ana Lucia. Basically then we said, "Oh, s--t. Both Michelle and Cynthia were busted the same night for DUI and we've got this story point coming up where they essentially both get shot at the same time, so it's going to look like this is the Lost producers attempt to say, 'Don't drive drunk!'" But as Carlton says, all it created in us was [the thought that], "Maybe we shouldn't do the plan now, 'cause people are going to think this is a reaction to [the DUIs], as opposed to this [plan] existing prior to that event."

sure they say that now.

though i guess it could be possible, lost does have history of creating a pointless romance just to have the female killed. like everyone who wears there heart on there sleeve is bound to get f***ed up the ass by emotional rape when someone unfairly shoots the bitch.

actually now that i have watched 20 too i thought the ending was completely random.

killing people doesn't really solve much on this island.

all i can think is that michael was sent to kill anna lucia specifically because as henry said the others had identified her as evil and michael's mission is to take her down to get walt back. but then i think that can't work either because henry already said they would never trade walt so that means walt must have some inherent value of his own so they would never return him to michael either.

its about time the others showed themselves...

the other thing always in the back of my mind is that the others are not low intelligence, they had the passenger list to the plane. how did they get that and what is their interest with this plane load of people?

Eko + Locke = Winnar.
No more Ana Lucia = Winnar.
Libby bites as well = OMGWTFPOLARBEAR.

Interested to see just what they're going to make the final cliff hanger, it's less obvious as to what it'll be as it was in the first season

Seeing as most of Season 2 was s*** I thought the finale was pretty f***ing awesome. There were actually some answers for once (at least, confirmation of previous theories). A lot more is now out in the open, which should set up Season 3 to be a lot more bloody interesting.

as did I, though I would have liked to know if locke and echo survived.

The more of the show I see, the more I think they're at some burmuda triangle type place, an electromagnetic flux which hides the island unless you travel a certain path, and prevents you from leaving. The dharma company has discovered it and has been researching it. But as for the others, I still don't know wtf is going on with them

holy s*** the beginning of the second season is on tv during the day. its the episode were they capture henry in the net and it shows sahieds past from the war. The American dude who was in charge and asks sahied to help them interpret is the dude who desmond shared the hatch with for 2 years. OMFGBBQ didnt expect or know that. dont know if any one else has picked up on this but yer. WOW

Like Anna Lucia hanging out with Jacks dad? Or Libby being in the institution with Hurley and giving her boat to Desmond? Or Kate's Dad also being in Iraq with Desmond's mate and Sahid? Or Charlie running into Anna Lucia in Sydney etc etc etc
