the counsil decided it would be a good idea to do some work on the street this morning without telling me.. so they have ripped my whole gutter out and dug a 1m deep hole.. unless there building a mote for me im not very happy.

This happened to me once when I was giving up smoking (so I was a completely psychopathic at the time).

Anyway, I drive my car up to the point where the footpath was all dug up, turned my car off and got out of my car and said what the f*** is going on here?? And one of the workers is like we put notices in all the letterboxes about this, and I'm like, nah, I never got one, and I need to get to work in 15 minutes or my boss is going to have my arse, so I need to get my car out, right f***ing now. And he said you'll have to speak to the foreman then, so I'm like, OK, and walked up to him furious saying I need to get my car out right or my boss is going to fire me. And he's like you didn't know about this? And I said no. So he sighed and said okay... Then some dude in a bobcat filled the driveway back in with dirt for me while I watched :)

My favourite story like this was when they dug a huge hole out the front of our house to tamper with the phone lines, at some point half way through they came to tell us the phones would be out for several hours (after they'd cut them off mind you). At the end of the day it still wasn't working and we used mobiles to ring Telstra. Turns out one of the workers had left his helmet down there... on the cable, cutting off the signal... They came back to fix it...Inadvertantly cutting the line completely.

3 days, giant hole, retarded Telstra workers. Lucky I had cable net at that house.
