Is being region 1 a realy big problem? Just saying DVD drive region free firmware could see you making a R4 copy of the DVD you own :)

Same guy that did "Ken Park". Ken Park is better but in saying that I didn't like ken park one bit. It went no where fast and had zero shock factor !!!

nah i just think that movies like this are well worth watching, like open your eyes up to whats out there.

I watched ken park and was pretty amazed at how some people lived, what they did and what can happen etc. That scene where the mexican girls dad comes in and bashed the crap out of her boyfriend is crazy. He marries his daughter or something after that doesnt he :S (dont really remember, saw it ages ago)

But yer i just like these types of movies, such as ken park, bully and i think that new pedophile movie that is most likely going to be banned here called Mysterious Skin (article is here http://www.if.com.au/news/2005/07/20.html#item10464 ) I think that movie will be interesting to watch, not for the fact that its a pedophile movie, but just seeing what goes on in a pedophiles mind, what the kids go through would be very interesting and eye opening.

I'm pretty sure I rented kids from a local video store when it came out. Are you sure there's no R4? It wasn't banned here, just R cause the sex is all simulated unlike Ken Park.

Otherwise just amazon it.

EDIT: Just realised that back then i would've watched it on VHS.

Bit harsh saying their not normal, its not thier fault they live in different conditions than u, im sure if u where raised like they where ie with the kind of parents they had, in the area they where etc.. u might do things such as them. You cant really judge them as being abnormal because they acted like that, you wouldnt have any idea what life they have led or what they go through etc..

Would you consider kids being sold into sexual slavery normal? In China it is.

Would you expect kids working not only to make a living, but for their very survival normal? In the poorer regions of Africa it is.

You made a retarded blanket statement that shows just how unintelligent you are Kat. Funny how stupidity just slips out like that.

If your kids end up like the kids on the movie and you are fine with that, then good for you. But that behaviour isn't 'normal' by any stratch of the imagination

Just because they had a bad upbringing or they wish to rebel against their parents, doesn't mean their behaviour is that of normal human beings.

Normal animals maybe. Normal sociopaths maybe. But not normal kids.

This has nothing to do with me comparing my great life against theirs and saying they should have acted like me. The fact is I wasn't a normal kid and I didn't do any where near the kind of filth they did.

Kat: remove your last post...it doesn't make sense. Normal does mean 'happens a lot'.

Scoobs...it's not harsh to say they are not normal. Maybe they are normal for kids who had a f***ed upbringing, but not normal for kids in general in a western society.

Fpot, Kat never said she was an authority on what normal kids are in every part of the world. She clearly meant normal for a western society, such as our own (or in this case American, which is similar to our own). Just because you are not a child sex slave does not mean your abnormal - because it is normal in dodgy Asian countries.

It is plain and f***ing simple, the kids in Kids are f***ed up. f***ed up is not normal. Stop abusing Kat for the pure joy of abusing her, it makes you look like a pathetic fag. I bet nightly episodes of Big Brother are a major part of your social life, correct?

Sometimes she does say stupid s***, in which case she deserves to cop s***, but more often then not it is c*********s like yourself trying to get some sort of peverse pleasure out of insulting someone who is vulnerable. Grow a dick and stop wearing your mums dresses.

Stop looking for arguments and acknowledge what the woman is saying. Normal means "socially acceptable". Get over it.

Yes we know some countries sell their children into sexual slavery or forced labour but that is in violation of international conventions for human and labour rights.

The s*** in Kids is completely f***ed up. I have seen it and it was disturbing. The story it told was not about normal childhood behaviour. Every responsible parent should hope that is not what their children turn into. It is s sad story about children who have been neglected and are not loved.

I understand where Kat is coming from.

Maybe use average instead of normal because from what i see in education documents neglecting children is the norm nowadays thus producing the children in the movie...

But fpot is highlighting the fact that kat would have herself as the expert on what a child should be like at a given time/ scenario being a parent and expert on all things child like and the following justification of such a standpoint, not so much the term 'normal'

yes but the thing is, in my first post i asked where i could get it. I didnt ask kat to add her 2 cents about what she thought of the movie and start a flame thread like she always does.

I couldnt give a flying f*** whether kat thought the kids in the movie where f***ed in the head or not "normal", i asked where i could get the movie =)

Ignorance is Bliss, i think i'll choose NOT to watch that movie lol

I agree with Kat though, from what was described of the movie. Normal kids dont act that way.

Everything is relative. Its obviously relative to Kat that those actions are not normal, due to her current surroundings and life style.

Cluepon.. get one.

She never said anything about kids in china, she was talking directly in reference to the kids in the movie and obviously her current knowledge of normality in respect to her own life. Maybe you read too much into her comment and jumped the gun to take it as a blanket statement?

p.s i wish i knew how to do the "quote / unquote" >< (thanks kat)
