Im thinkin of buying the motorola v3 and i figure the best way to find out everying about it is to ask. So what do you think of the V3. mainly only if you have one.

positives and negatives.

dont buy one

i bought one a month or 2 back

updated the firmware multiple times, the phone is laggy as f***.

you need the earpiece RIGHT on your ear, or you can't hear anything, its not just quieter, you cant hear the other person talking full stop.

i dont know how fast you can write sms's, and il admit im a bit of a pro, but when im typing one, for example if i typed "hi man you are so cool wanna hookup lol" by the time i'v pressed all the keys with dictionary, i look at the screen and its still typing out like the 3rd or 4th word i typed... it remembers what keys youv pressed, but its a f*** around cause if i madea typo on the first word, and iv just punched like 10 words thru, you gotta wait for the piece of s*** to slowly type every word, then you have to slowly backspace , slowly f***ing delete, and slowly fix the typo.

phones a bit buggy, got an outbox auto cleaner that doesnt work (meant to keep no more then 5 in outbox, doesnt work)

profile system is really f***ing dumb, umm.. ill type more when i can remember..

i'd stick with nokia.

The number of times I've heard people complain/claim the triplets phones are slow/laggy - I really can't understand it. Both my brother and I had V525s all of last year, I now have a V620 - NEVER had a problem with 'lag'. I'm pretty convinced the PEBCAK.

I just got a V3 a fortnight ago. Don't mind it so far. sms'ing is kinda wierd, but I'm getting used to it. I don't really notice it being too slow/laggy. It doesn't sound quite as clear as my old 6610 did, but I can still hear people ok.

I chose it over a 6230i cos the screen is so much bigger and the bluetooth on the 6000 series nokias is pretty flaky with macs, and I was looking forward to being able to sync up with my iBook.

maybe you and your brothers sisters boyfriend with his red gemini just type really really slow and don't notice the lag, but for those of us who are mad kainers at phones notice phone lag.

My biggest problem with this phone is that it has 5meg of internal memory, with no external memory option, which is just NO for me.

There is the "x" version coming out shortly, which is actually a 3G version, which I will prolly get and sign up with 3, now that they are one the telstra network and have great coverage.

the differance is, better software and it has expandable memory. 2meg camera is well, which is nice.

i had one and i'm no phone whore and just take what work gives me but the v3 was a peice of s***, endless troubles. Left it on a cab one night and never bothered to ring up about it.

Got a nokia 8800 now which is pretty cool, got a s***lod of features i don't use but I like the look of this phone.

i had a v3 for a bit, laggy phone but was pretty sweet. then i dropped it once (first time) and the f***er broke in 2. didn't have insurance on it so bl to me. But yeah stay with nokias, its just a shame that the nokias with the cool symbian stuff have the user interface of a 1980's VCR. If nokia made the v3 it would be so sweet, the lag and the strength of it just kill it.

K750i has been out for a couple of weeks now, and is a decent improvment over the 700.

I switched off Nokia about 3 years back for Sony Ericsson's, had the T300 and now the k700i and loved both, but this year's release of Sony phone is looking really blah (I could get the 750 but it's just my current phone but newer, and I could go up to the 910i but I don't want a giant PDA phone) so I'm thinking of switching to the V3 myself, couldn't bring myself to go back to Nokia ever.

Another vote for the K750i, bloody awesome phone (props to the camera) at a great price (haven't seen it anywhere for more than the V3)
Couple it with a decent sized memory stick, nothing like cracking open a few futurama eps in those boring uni lectures :)
