Chronicles of Narnia

Man, this looks like it's gonna be awesome. I've watched the BBC made for tele versions and they were pretty cool, but they didn't have the budget that this one does. However, I don't know if they're gonna be making the other stories that follow this one.

Anyway, check it out. Looks very similar to LOTR, maybe because the effects company they used is the same.

I haven't read those books for years, might be worth dusting them off before this movie. Looks pretty good.

The rights to make the rest of the books have been bought, but whether they're made into movies will depend on the success of this movie.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, but then the last time I read them would have been about 15 or 16 years ago when I was in primary school and I'm not sure how well they age. They were really cool when I was in primary school, but then so was "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiago".

I just watched the entire film and OMG it is one of the best movies i have ever seen, and it stays really close to the book, with only a few ommisions and changes, well worth watching. It actually does bring justice to the book, A+ 10/10 w00t much

Is this threads coding busted for anyone else?

We would love to see it at the movies but I have been told that there are some scarey scenes and the witch is kinda intense. So we will be waiting for it on DVD so we can screne the movie for the little one

Im really interested to know how they end it, if hey will stay true to the original with the children growing old ruling narnia and forgetting about the real world and then stumble across the wardrobe one day and its like no time has passed...

Can't imagine they'll end it with the children as grownups because they're apparently planning the sequel which will be based around the kids again, i can't remember which book it was they're doing though.

The Witch is vanquished, and the four children become the Kings and Queens of Narnia. Peter, the oldest, is appointed High King.

After many years' reign — which incidentally encompasses the whole of the time-period of The Horse and His Boy — the kings and queens, now adults, go on a hunt for a rare white stag. While in pursuit, they find the lamp post in the forest, pass through the wardrobe, and find themselves back in our world, where they are still children and where no time has passed since they left. Consulting with the professor about their experience, he tells them that while the wardrobe portal cannot be used again, this is hardly the end of their adventures in Narnia.
