this gave me the giggles.
JOB APPLICATION
This is an actual job application a 17-year-old boy submitted at a McDonald's fast-food establishment in Florida. They hired him because he was so honest and funny!

NAME : Greg Bulmash

SEX : Not yet. Still waiting for the right person.

DESIRED POSITION : Company's President or Vice President. But seriously whatever's available. If I was in a position to be picky, I wouldn't be applying here in the first place.

DESIRED SALARY : $185,000 a year plus stock options and a Michael Ovitz style severance package. If that's not possible, make an offer and we can haggle.

EDUCATION : Yes.

LAST POSITION HELD : Target for middle management hostility.

SALARY : Less than I'm worth.

MOST NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENT : My incredible collection of stolen pens and post-it notes.

REASON FOR LEAVING : It sucked.

HOURS AVAILABLE TO WORK : Any.

PREFERRED HOURS : 1:30-3:30 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

DO YOU HAVE ANY SPECIAL SKILLS : Yes, but they're better suited to more intimate environment.

MAY WE CONTACT YOUR CURRENT EMPLOYER : If I had one, would I be here?

DO YOU HAVE ANY PHYSICAL CONDITIONS THAT WOULD PROHIBIT YOU FROM LIFTING UP TO 50 LBS : Of what?

DO YOU HAVE A CAR : I think the more appropriate question here would be "Do you have a car that runs?"

HAVE YOU RECEIVED ANY SPECIAL AWARDS OR RECOGNITION : I may already be a winner of the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes.

DO YOU SMOKE : On the job no, on my breaks yes.

WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE DOING IN FIVE YEARS : Living in the Bahamas with a fabulously wealthy dumb sexy blonde super model who thinks I'm the greatest thing since sliced bread. Actually, I'd like to be doing that now.

DO YOU CERTIFY THAT THE ABOVE IS TRUE AND COMPLETE TO THE BEST OF YOUR KNOWLEDGE : Yes. Absolutely.

SIGN HERE : Aries.

OH my gawd! The Metropolis, that brings back some memories! Also don't forget the Funkyard! Also are we old enough to remember General Jacksons, Sybils, The Underground (at the boot factory), Cloudland even!

I got a call the other day from my friend, who is happily employed as an electrician, asking if I had been handing in maccas job applications with his name because he's recently had calls from several different maccas telling him his application has been accepted.

What a great idea that is. I'm gonna start handing in resumes to sex toy stores for my friends mums.

thanks for pointing that out fpot. i'd never have known it wasn't real. apart from using common sense regarding this sort of thing, i think anyone who didn't get it would have by the fifth post containing the words "old" or "fake."

I have also seen it before, but this bit gets me each and every time and I do realise it's a joke, but I just can never imagine a maccas manager employing someone because they were "funny".

I went to all those places except Cloudland and General Jacksons. Funkyard was the s*** in the early 90's and then when it closed and moved near Adelaide street they called it Volcanic Bass, but it didn't last very long. Metropolis was pretty ass though, only went a few times. Used to hang out at Rosies and Sybils a fair bit.

hahaha
rosies;

shocka rev;

me and goody only used to go to the metropolis to pwn the goths at pool (they paid, we played and got drunk on 500ml grolsch cans)

im tempted to relive the greatest pool shot ever played (and will)

we are schooling some hopeless goth types (wearing black, eeuuwgh)

anyway, me and goody are on the black, my shot

white is up near the D-line but towards the cush (not flush on cush)
black was sitting on the cush oposite side of the table and end of the table flush on the cushion at the far end of the table
direct path between white and black is blocked by bad guys balls

D

|-----------------------------------------|
| | |
| | T T B|
| | |
| | T |
| W |
| | |
| | |
-------------------------------------------A

W- white ball
B- Black ball
T- their ball
A-action pocket
D- dline
anyway, i hit the white into the edge of the (ACTION) pocket, so that it bounced back across the pocket, onto the other edge and ran along the bottom cush (flush), striking the black ball directly and sinking it to win the game

fluke, i hear you say?
not, i called it before hand;

that style of shot was taught to me (and most likely goody) by a mate in cairns who taught me all manner of cool pool shots
