Dudes,

I've got an easy job for someone who has dreamweaver, you dont even need to have web design skills, I've made templates and stuff so its basically just copy & pasting...Just know what your doing regarding web stuff (uploading etc).

It involves the creation of alot (like in the hundreds) of pages, but no php etc is to be used, it must be pure HTML...this is done for a reason...

Although, as said above, the pages are piss easy to make and can be done in less than a minute. I just basically need someone to do this because it's a monkey job, and my skillz are better used elsewhere.

I am willing to pay $200 to get this done quickly, correctly, and seriously.

Any takers? Email me: strecker@gmail.com

I'd love to hear the reason for the static pages.

Me too, why?

Stop bloating the internet with your dreamweaver created static pages

haha hundreds of web pages are far from "bloating the internet".
(FYI my work owns 400,000 domain names, or almost 1% of the intarwebs, so I know bloat ;P)

I too would like to hear the reasons for no PHP. If it's for performance reasons, that's not a problem, you just write the script to write the pages to straight HTML as cache pages with all links to the generated HTML. You can just use the PHP to generate those cached pages.

Any reason against that? Even if it's because PHP is unavailable, you can just generate the cached pages remotely and then upload.

Have a think anyway.

Edit: While I fully understand if a client wants something done a certain way that's the way it gets done, I also like to make absoltely sure they're making the right informed decision and they're not saying "don't use this" because they don't understand it can be used in a way other than the traditional manner.

Raven's on the money. Cached pages ftw. Unless your delivery mechanism isn't a web server. But even then I'd generate the pages on a web server and use something like teleport pro to grab static versions of the files. Much easier to maintain.

Not really. We try to get our domains making money for us, and the easiest way to make money is to give the person visiting them what they were looking for. Prime example is bedroomfurniture.com

If this is a one-off exercise to be creating a couple of hundred piss-simple pages then it could well be quicker to do them manually. But if it's going to be done again in the future then a php tool to create these pages would definitely not go astray. So I'm sure StreX has his reasons for wanting what he's asked for.

Agreed. They should be banned. I've yet to see one that is actually helpful.

Your prime example is not on page one of google search results for "Bedroom Furniture" (ok, so it's on page two :)

Kinda blows this complaint out of the water:

People wanting bedroom furniture are typing in bedroomfurniture.com because hey that's what you'd imagine that domain would have. And wtfbbq IT DOES! :P

Cerb justify them however you want. But they are pond scum, I wish google would just block any domain like that.

They interfere with me getting good hits on google.

Obes, I don't think anything could interfere with your gay porn site obtaining a high ranking on google...

On a more serious note, yes, I despise companies that participate in this sort of activity, but not quite as much as I hate spammers and s***head blackhats.

Male cars aparently are all dressed in stickers and fall to bits if you go over anything higher then a speed bump. They also love sitting in Maccas car parks.

I had to do a project like that a looong time ago and with good reason - it sat on a CD rom with no PHP server to parse the material.
