Ok I want to know the easiest and best way to extract sound from a movie file, .avi, .mpg whatever and extract it to .mp3 or .wav. Thanks all.

Virtual Dub is your friend.

File - Open - > whatever.mpg

File - Save WAV.

probably go to the point that you want to start from and hit 'home'. Then go to the point you want to end and hit 'end' - then try it. That's how you export only a select bit of video, might work the same for audio stuff.

You will be left with whatever video is between points 2 and 3.
