A heads for anyone who might be interested: there's a bio on Pink Floyd and Syd Barrett on now (10:22 pm) on Ch2. Supposed to be pretty good.

Info:
Looks at the rise and demise of Pink Floyd - a group that helped found the British psychedelic scene. Includes rare footage of the band performing, alongside new interviews with the members of the band and their associates.

Currently listening to the "gnome", I've got all 18 of their albums, some of their work is quite frankly absolute trash, but other songs, well you can't really explain how they make you feel.

The radio generally annoys me. Are there any specific times when they play good oldies?

At the moment they have a thing called the 2005 essential shuffle, its all their best oldies that they played awhile ago making a list of the best oldies and now they are shuffling them round, like number 1 best song might be played at 9:00 and then x played at 10:00 or whatever you get the idea. The shuffle starts at 9:00.

We have it on all day at work, but they always play all the good oldies. If you have foxtel, music max also run like certain time periods over weekends which is pretty good, I always watch them and write down songs I like and grab the album.

My music collection has pretty much all of Triple M's playlist in it. Though as of late my collection has taken a slightly modern direction but mostly my music is old stuff. New music generally sucks a lot of arse.

Yeah my favorite stuff is between '85-'95. Not much music grabs me these days.

Though yeah i'll check the triple m out. Sounds good.

I play guitar, but what do you mean, do you mean whats the point of watching the show? If so, it's just interesting to see hear about syd from those who knew him best and just to see how far he did slide after his drug experiences.

Spoon do you know anyhtign about wah's?

Do oyu know how those electronic wah's that run through a midi foot controller compare to real wah's?

One of my mates has the wah that he runs through his midi pedal board. But the sound i get turns out rather meager. Do you think its just me or are the electronic wahs known for being crap?

Don't know alot about the wah's which you speak of, but from what I've heard unless you get something like a signature dunlop wah they are pretty s*** especially with distortion/overdrive.

I've listened to all this stuff quite extensively.....
Hendrix

I've heard most of the hits by the rest of those bands but never any full albums. Do they play anyhtign apart from the hits on MMM?
