Did you ever play the various other GTA multiplayer mods?

Yeah, not that great.

Yup. Most were pretty dodge. When the hell are Rockstar going to put in multi?

I know it'd be tricky, but still...

They were a bit dodgy, but we spent hours playing MTA:VC attempting to jump stuff on motorcycles and all sorts of s***.

It was truely awesome fun. We even had motorcycles jumping over cars going over the stair jump.

Oh trust me I know it might not ever be as solid as the single player experience, but yea as nF said the amount of fun of just stuffing around doing s***, trying stunts, its bloody funny in multiplayer

Now we'd have cars with nos, planes, parachutes, the stupid s*** can continue :P

Just started playing it on the PC and it's damn fun. Massive levels and you don't get f***ed over so much when you kill a cop.

The only problem I found with the multiplay in VC was that the levels were too big too find anyone.

They did it with GTA and GTA2, I don't see why the concept is any different now.

haha, if you thought the map was too big in VC then SA will be pretty ridiculous. From what ive seen they are setting up multiplayer mini games, which should help alot. The scripting system seems to be vastly improved... enough, at least, to allow custom mini games.

Lag is always such a huge problem and it ends up being flakey which is a shame. Stable multiplayer in SA would be badass.

The multiplayer in GTA and GTA2 was worse than MTA.

Man, San Andreas is awesome fun on the PC. I've got everything maxed out and it runs smooth as. Such an improvement over Vice City so I'm looking forward to playing thru this.

when i played gta:sa on playstation i remember little things that i could walk over that would activate the ability for someone else to play on the 2nd controller, some had missions some was just free for all at which point we would put cheats on and just run around blowing the s*** out of everything and so on, but it was gay because it wasnt split screen or anything, so you both had to stay together.

This isn't 1993 here, there are quite advanced "how to" guides for network support in games (including client prediction). While networking has some tricks to it, it isn't anything so tricky that it should prohibit games like GTA from including it ... even if it is just 'silly buggers' and thus un-supported.
