GameArena have opened its Battlefield 2 ladder for signups! The ladder has been opened early for a number of reasons. Due to some of the improved support for things such as demos etc within Battlefield 2, we have plannned to open the ladder during the demo period for freeplay games.

No offence to GA, but i think node will be better off for qld clans, local based servers and all, only if ga servers wasent hosted in melbourne.

Yeh, we'd love to have more servers around the place. Fortunately, ping practically doesn't make any difference ever since games like CS decided to use client side fudging to decide whether or not you actually hit someone. Its more important to get more consistent packet delivery now than it is to get a lower ping.

I think they mentioned that there'll be server-side client-prediction, aka lag compensation.

If you plan on playing BF2 and like to have a little more fun past pub games then post your interest here ok.
Totally awesome things that can happen with an organised team:
- No ques at airfields
- Teammates waiting for you when you need some transport
- Teammates attacking the enemy instead of running you over with a jeep
and my favourite part - Playing with people who generally want to work as a team

So if you want to organise a team then post some interest and we should get it into gear. Maddest.

If there is enough replies I will help organise it, however I dont know the first thing about bf matces, I only ever played public 1942 so... Im sure someone on here knows the run down.

With team-killing being a major objective for most people, how else can they kill Americans?

I play on both sides for something different. Although they should've included a spy/traitor category. Nothing like an american traitor planting a c4 in his commander's pants and blowing the yank out of him inside out.

more people need to form or join a squad when the round starts. I played on a /32 server with a bunch of squads and it was f***ing tight.
