The bladerunner score is pretty cool, plenty of cheesy synth.

Black Hawk Down!

One of the best I've heard. It's best played while in a game of Diablo 2 or cs (inferno). Ah the memories ....

The score from "Dead Man". I think Neil Young did it.

Yeah elfman rocks

But my "short list" consists of

Batman
Batman Returns
Band of Brothers
Star Wars
Lord of the Rings
Gladiator
Back to the Future
2001 - A Space Odyssey
Bram Stoker's Dracula
Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Hero
Donnie Darko
Edward Scissorhands
Indiana Jones
Jaws
Jurassic Park
Master and Commander
Schindlers List
Signs
The Hulk
Superman
Terminator 2
The Last Starfighter
The Matrix

etc etc

Basically anything by Danny Elfman, John Williams or Hans Zimmer

though in Elfmans and Williams case I prefer all their earlier stuff, especially John Williams

The Bourne Supremacy by John Powell. Awesome soundtrack, and as said above, highly rate all John Williams, and the 3 LOTR soundtracks.

The special orchestra dvd that came with ROTK EE gift set is really awesome.

I agree any of the above composers mentioned are brilliant.

to name a few others scores..

Air Force One (jerry goldsmith)
Band of Brothers (michael kamen)
Crimson Tide (zimmer)
Jurassic park/lost world (williams)
Pearl Harbour (zimmer)
Remember the Titans (trevor rabin) - the promo cd which isnt available for retail. the OST only contained the 'Titan's Spirit' track which was the only instrumental track on the OST. the promo cd is the score.
Saving private ryan (williams)
Schindlers list (williams)
Sleepy Hollow (elfman)
Stargate (david arnold)
The Dish (composed by melb symphony orchestra)
LOTR 1,2,3 (howard shore)
The mission (ennio morricone)
Willow (horner)

Spawn
The Crow
Underworld (the soundtrack is infinitely better than the movie)
American Psycho

On the flipside:
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. Yoyo Ma is brilliant.

The UQ orchestra were performing the entire Star Wars soundtrack at Mayne Hall before it got gutted. I feel like an idiot for not going:/ I think it was the last time they used the pipe organ too.
