Anyone one here decent with CSS, I have run into a problemo I can't find the answer to.

Im having problems with a footer that I want sitting at the bottom centered. I can get it on the bottom but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to center the bastard :(

Theres probably a whole lot of useless stuff still in the #bottom tag that does nothing that I've tried to make it center.

Edit: goddamn wrong tag for > then when you edit all the < special tags you put in turn to real ones and are all lost ARRG you dont really need to see the html part anyway, or just view the source.

put the left + right margin to auto, and set the text-align: center in the containing block. you will probably need to add a div around the bottom to make it work or else the top element will be centered as well.

Baaaaaaaah it works but now is still monged for me...

I have v 6.0.2900.2180 of IE and theres a small gap underneath the bottom blue box... 2 others so far with 6.0.2800 something is fine for both of them.

Fcking IE... lump of s***.

I don't know what IE is because I haven't used it in so long and it's gathering cobwebs, but 6.0.2900.2180 works just fine

perhaps have a body{
margin: 0px;
padding: 0px;
}

see if that helps?

maybe its just an internet explorer issue (wouldn't bloody supprise me, thoes inconsistant bastards!)

The funny thing is, I tried the online link for s***s and giggles and its absolutely fine in my IE, offline theres a gap... gg IE gg... you mkae no sense at all... uggggggggh :/
