A 54 meg download of some real life and in game footage based arround the development of STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl over here. You will also need the XviD codec over here. And Winrar to unpack it.

Some new stuff with a chopper in it ect and a glimpse of some of the lighting and physics in game as well. Some the 'acted' sequences they have included look a tad sorry though. promoted forum item

Wow, have to admit there were a couple of spots there where I had to double check whether it was ingame footage or film!

that looks aaawesome. just from that vid i can tell its going to be dripping in atmosphere and really eerie.

it was interesting how they tried to illustrate how well they recreated some areas of chernobyl from old military videos. i cant wait to creep around that spooky city.

looks like you will need a beefy machine to crank the detail up. but you wont have any worries psycho :P

whens it being released? i want it.

Holy s*** that looks nice. I think my X800 Pro should be able to run that nicely.

Yeh does look tasty indeed, I think there was of the first dx9 fottage in that clip as well. The game will also support SM3 apparently and will ship in two versions. A dx8 and Dx9 version. The enviroments look good and if they can pull off the type of gameplay they have promised it will certainly be a 2005 title to watch out for.

They've done a couple videos where it segues from real footage into the rendered stuff and yeah, sometimes it's hard to tell. The environments look phenomenal if they can get the physics and AI even half as good then it's going to be special.

Wasn't it supposed to ship in May but it got pushed back a couple more months?

yep, they have now adopted the 'when it's done' routine.

Always a good call, IMO.
