Many BigPond aDSL customers have over the past few days been asked to take part in another over the phone survey, those which haven't should expect a call within the next few days. But this time something is different - Only those in the house hold over 18 are allowed to actually take the survey.
How many families do you know where the only people who use the internet connection are the people under 18? How many adults do you know that are computer illiterate? What massive percentage of gamers are under 18? Their way of conducting the latest survey can only lead to misinterpretation's, a bias opinion and in the end an incorrect result. GG Telstra.

I can understand why they would only want the contract holders to be surveyed - because they're the only ones who are relevant when they go to use their gathered statistics.

There's probably even legal implications, who knows.

I did the survey and there is nothing in there that a computer illiterate person wouldnt be able to answer i really dont know what Rec's on about

My parents call the internet "the email" hahaha, they are always like "I was on the email", "why isn't the email working", "what kind of hat is a is a 3 gig cap, when do I get one?"... but they will be surfing the net and s***, not even doing email...

It's not like the 'outcome' of telstras surveys are already known anway, they just make up whatever figures they want to justify whatever stupid things they do.

telstra are still sending me bills even though i cancelled my account 2 months ago and got optus

emailed em twice about it.. if they can't be bothered responding, that's their problem (i'm not spending 20c on a phone call when I have already cancelled), but if i get one more bill, and it affects my credit rating, i'll see those SK's in court. yeah baby!##$#%

It'd be interesting to see a poll on QGL about the average age of gamers (QGL gamers of course). Most of the people I know who are gamers, and especially internet gamers are over 18 (self included). And the majority of younguns I know who are into gaming use playstation not PC anyway.

well i dont know where that over 18 crap came from ....coz i was rung up 2days ago ...my mum came out to get me and said ADSL is on the fone...i was like mmmk....i picked up the fone and some lady asked me if i wanted to do the survery im like yea ok......and im 15 yrs of Age ... so she was asking away bla bla bla rar rar rar i was just giving correct answers to the Questions and i think my answers were fair for the service (Cos it is s*** ! ) anywayz she asked me what else was wrong with the network, i said get a server in QLD coz its pretty s*** having to connect to Melbourne she just wrote that down and she said why would u wanna do that, i said....so the 'pings' are better ! .......she is like .....What is ping LOL!!!! she was like can u spell that out HAAHA P I N G!!!...anywayz i told her what it ment and all Time over distance etcetc.....then i told her about Telstras ADSL software doesnt run in WinXP build 2600.......oh wellz let them be s***, i couldnt give 2 fuks Telstra have No f***ing idea how to setup anything !!! .....why make aDSL availiable on the gold coast if it has to connect to melbourne anyways with a minium of 70 ping , thats just f***ed....also Cable is CHEAPER than ADSL , Cable is FASTER than aDSL, and cable gets better PINGS than aDSL, but Still aDSL is more EXSPENSIVE !!!! Telstra sort your s*** out, coz its getting beyond a joke ya f***nutz!
