I should add NFS3. That's the first game where my friends and I got serious about lanning. We'd have a whole bunch of us around to a friends place on the weekend and race all night.

Thief 2 was certainly a step forward, and also well worth sussing out.

From memory the game's creators, Looking Glass Studios went bust, so it's probable that Thief 3 won't see the light of day... which is a shame. T3 ported over to the Q3a engine from it's old Q2 variant would indeed rock.

My favorite games of all time were games i played on my compluter.... all the classic old skool shiznit was the best becuz it's what i first played and grew up with.
I liked Sopwith... u flew a f***ing plane for god sakes!!!!!

doom!!! that MLI cheat in Wolf made the stupid game to easy and i was too young to realise it was a cheat... i thort it was just part of the gayme. But doom certainly ruled

Quake 1 , I anticipated that f***ing game sooo much and then it came out and i thort... hey this is kool and the ogres shot grens at me...

Quake1 CTF - omigod just when i thort i was bored of quake i got my hands on a Staff UQ account (my dad) which was CAINER speeds to say the least... and i would CTF alll nite and go to skool on 0 sleep. it had such weapons as the slime launcher and the shrinker ray goon.

Ultima Online - u guys will say "mick u are gay cuz u play EQ" and ill say nope i played UO and it was kool regardless of what anyone says... before Origin messed it up cuz all the weak ppl of the world couldn't handle playing killing it was the best experience. Mass ONline Multiplayer worlds are where it's at and they're still in their infancey... it WILL get better. This game had monsters like ArcaNE 5 x GM mage who shoots the Deamons and they sit down and have tea.

Ultima 7 - if you like RPG's then this is the RPG... i mean if you haven't played it and eventhough it's out dated now come to QGL and go Mick, Mick I need your CD with Ultima 7 pt.1 and 2 on it becuz they are UBER!!!!! and yes you would be right they are good... I learnt that in bucceneers den u go there and gamble on the roulette wheel thingie and u move the money according to the spinning and u make unlimited gold!!! AND I FOUND IT OUT... i was so proud... and basically u build the Black Sword and trap a deamon in it and kill every mother fuker and the guardian trys to win but he's red.

Dune 2 - any f***** that says "oooh red alert is the greatest RTS" or if they tell you dirty dark reign is any good then they are f*****s.....
Dune 2 was and still is the best RTS ever made.... for it's time it was phenominal and i played it 24 hours straight just becuz it was so god damn good... back when games had an emphasis on stuff like GAMEPLAY and MUSIC while gfx were limited... none of this new hey wow this building is 3d and u can't see this guy becuz this hill is blocking my "view" .. that's all well and good but without good gameplay u can eat a dick. I have no patience for gfx and no gameplay!!! ddune2 had sandworms which used to launch mammoth tanks at your house and goku said IO MICK f*** j00!

Dune 1 - need i say anything? RPG/RTS omigod classic!!!!!!! i can't believe this idea wasn't persued further I loved dune ... and best of all with all the funEY gfx and musice it was only 1.7 meg!!! only 2 disks, which meant my 120 meg on my 386 was very happy with me!!!...

I mean seriously??? Space Quest (expecially 5) Brilliant!! but best of all was the QfG series, qfg1 EGA being the best followed by qfg4 , so much atmosphere and realism.... the story was just awesome, hours of gameplay in it..... it's what all today's gamers are missing... games like this... :/

ok well we all know that Monkey Island (tm) is the s***, that game, actually all 4 of them in the series were awesome!! but 1 was just classic.... but not to forget Sam and Max... awesome!!! but one of my favorites was "The Dig" I'm not sure if anyone played it... but if anyone owns it still can they tell me i wanna play it again.

Sim City 2000, hours upon hours of enjoyment, u made cities and s*** and i had 4 megs of ram and everyones like phwoar!!! and i looked at ram prices at the time and a 16 meg stick was $1000... things change hey?

Stonekeep , 3 years in the making and it sure showed.... unlike daikatana Stonekeep was f***ing unreal... it had no hype so not that many ppl played it... but DAMN as a "simple" dungeons and dragons game it was full of amazing s***.... all the characters were digitized and it had full speech and everything... omigod my dad bought me a p-100 (when they were top of the line) to play it .... ahhh back in the good ol days....

Anyways i think they are my favorite games of all time... not sure if i have any others.. off course there are console games and the such but they were never as exciting.

hey koopz thief 2 was not built on the q2 engine, it was built on the dark engine :), which also powered sys shock 2 and thief :D

thief 3 is in development at Ion Storm by the same guys that did Deus Ex :D

and it is using the Unreal Tech for it :D

Dark Engine is a modified ver of the Q2 engine dudey.

Looking forward to T3 then...

and Ultima-7 (both parts) is currently still the best RPG I've ever played. It just had soo much detail. Show much exploring. So many areas that had nothing to do with the main plot (well sometimes it did, but wasnt necessary to go there)
