I've got a CC but I'd be hesitant on using it on a site, I can imagine plenty of scammers would have already setup fake sites.

UK = Somewhere around $165mil
US = Pathetic (for their size and money) = $45mil
AU = $35million (i dono how good out economy is)

Think of the living conditions too, some of those dodgy huts are close to the water, plus they have like 200 kids in their family within the hut.

heh i think that shot was taken like 40secs max before the thing landed.. there was a story on the news the other day about a guy who was trying to take a photo of it with a telephoto lens, his family screamed at him to come with them to the hotel, he said just 1 more shot.. In the time it took him to take the shot and turn to run he was already swept up by the water...

Oxfam seems like the way to go. There was all that hoo-har with the red cross after Bali...

Looks like Australians have been very generous so far promising over $17 million in private donations on top of the government's $35 million. And we seem to actually be doing something about the problem, instead of sitting around waiting for the UN to pretend to do something.

US gave 45 million... then upped it to 450 million... that figure will continue to rise as will contributions by other governments as the situation becomes clearer as to what is needed...
