priest + spirit tap = solo machine.

although I didnt go shadow this time as I group too much for it to be usefull.

kal is a priest and seems to be doing great so it might be the noobliness O_O

Priest solo is fine as long as you have a good mace. The main thing you need to do is conserve your mana so you can go from one kill straight into the next without wasting time waiting for your mana to regenerate.

Basically, the way I do it, is when I see an enemy I pull them with Mind Blast, then as they're running towards me cast Shadow Word : Pain, then cast Renew on yourself and start smashing them. Don't use PW : Shield in combat unless the s*** hits the fan and you need to heal yourself because Renew does pretty much the same thing as PWS but costs less mana.

You'll probably need to recast SWP and Renew more than once for each mob you attack (especially if you go after guys +2 your level for phat exp), so do it. I find that most of my damage seems to come from SWP, even though I don't specialize in Shadow stuff.

Priests are great soloing, I mean, you're a caster that can heal yourself and with Holy Word: Shield, absorb damage. Wtf are you bitching about?

I can understand maybe at the higher levels, it would be hard to solo, but I took a priest to level 16 and had no trouble soloing (and thats not struggling to kill stuff at my level, thats being able to kill things a couple of levels above me). Sure you need to stop and drink a lot and you burn a lot of mana, but its not really that much different with a mage.

I find priests boring to solo with compared to pretty much any of the other classes. I solo'd most of the way to 10 on my priest, then have grouped the rest of the way to 19 so far on my priest.

Priests can solo as good as any other class.

They're nowhere near as easy as a mage, but they're not so hard that you'd come here and make a forum post about it
