Lock the tv in the closet, send the wife/girlfriend/kids for a all expences paid trip to getthehellawayanywhere land, because you'll want to spend some quality time alone with your prefered gaming device this month, with loads of fantastic titles due to be released in November!

I'd say 'ask for it for christmas' if I was some n00b that didnt know most of our readers get paid more than I do (not hard!). But obviously ya'll will want to play them NOW, screw christmas...

For PC gamers, World of Warcraft is my pick for the next few months of great fun gameplay, with Half-life 2 a good buffer game for when you need a WoW break for something a little faster. For Xbox fans the obvious money is Halo 2, which every person that owns a Xbox will be rushing out to buy first available chance they get. And Killzone looks like being the big title on the playstation 2 Edit, doh! forgot GTA:SA, read Justin's awesome review of that here.

Oh, and one game I've been watching all the great movies released for that is sure looking like a truely fantastic game for the RTS fans is LOTR:Battle for Middle Earth, its a shame it has the whole LOTR name as a significant number of gamers are likely to put it automatically in the vapourware pile during selection, given the track record of most franchise games. This is a game made by some of the old Westwood team, that really had a genuine interest in representing the francise in a well thought out, and beautifuly constructed game, buy it!

Holy f***ing s***.

Between WoW, HL2, Tales of Symphonia, Paper Mario 2 and Halo 2, I'm pretty f***ing upset that I got a full time job recently. Where will I find the time?!

I'd be excited about WoW if I had the bandwidth to play it with, but at least I'll have a healthy selection of long-term singleplayer games until they install my ADSL.

This is one crazy season for games. It almost makes up for the drought we've been going through.

Other games that are on the horizon:

  • Pikmin 2
  • Metroid Prime 2
  • Kotor 2 (february)

Bugger Halo 2 on Xbox. If it's (Halo2) not on PC I'm not interested. I'll save my XBox for racing games and beatemups.

And sif you wouldn't put Half-Life 2 as the top choice with occasional bouts of WoW :)

I'm also spewing that Stalker won't be released before Christmas like was originally planned. It looks like it will be May 2005 :(

Its a damn addictive game. I have had to make myself get away from the comp just to break the vicous 'just one more level' cycle.

NFSU2 is bloody insane. Its fixed an aweful lot of what was wrong with the first title... and has ECU tuning etc.

HL2 looks great too. If you preorder from EB by today you get $10 off. And you can get a further $20 off if you grab a coupon from PC GAMES ADDICT december issue[28].page 46 I think.

And don't forget the new Nintendo DS for all y'all who are importing ;). I can see myself spending upwards of 100 hours before the end of the year just on Metroid prime: first Hunt [online of course^^]

I abosolutly can't wait for Operation Flashpoint 2, i spent a good 3 years play Operation Flashpoint 1 and I'm only just now getting a bit bored of it. But i still have to wait for late 2005 :(
