so go figure when a company person comes to inspect somesite that they have just donated, say a couple of games to give away at the lan, low and behold theres a crack/free serial/ linke to a warez copy of it, they must be so f***ing happy about it.

There are no such thing as 'legit cd keys' that you get given. Saying something like that makes you look incredibly, unbelievably stupid. So don't say it. The only way you get a legit cd key is buy buying the stupid game to begin with.

i actually have two legit CD-Keys, i bought the half-life platinum edition, which comes with Half-Life: Game of the Year edition (1 CD-Key), Half-Life: Opposing Force, Team Fortress Classic, and Counter-Strike Retail (1 CD-Key)

actually power its 3 keys, the OPFO cd key works in halflife .

i bought the platinum pack as well

I know a guy who knows a guy, who went to his house to find a legit copy of Halflife sitting there. When he asked his mate if he played on the net, he replied no, and said that he could take his cd key. is that illegal!?

Yes it is legal, it become illegal when he uses it with an illegal copy of the game though. It is fine for him to keep it on a piece of paper in his pocket or something though.
