Okay women and fags, I need shopping advice.
Im going to somewhere very cold in October and I need more winter clothing. So ive been thinking, wait till the end of winter clearance sales, when all the jerks here are getting rid of their excess winter stock. Well that time is almost here right? When do these sales usually start, and what specialty or department stores would be the best to hit up for the best bargains? Feel free to also use this thread to discuss your regular shopping f*****ry. |

As if try stuff on.
Know your size and buy brandname stuff. eg. you know those trendy adidas martial arts shoes that sell for $120 to $180 here ? well they sell retail for around $50 in korea. Same shoe (hell its where our stock comes from) you can buy them from an ebay shop for around $70. Find out the size from the shops here then order from there ... |

I generally dont really go in for the whole brand name thing.
Nike can eat a dick really. People who pay twice as much for a tshirt with that little tick on it can eat a dick too (and they probably do). I more just want quality stuff that wont fall apart after 2 months and looks decent. |

^^^ I just used Nike as an example. There are heaps of other stuff at Harbour Town that's cheaper than normal whole sale. That or try Stones Coner but that last time I went, unfortunately it was full of Female clothing and only one shop of us men... sux.

How cold? . There is usually one very cold ‘snap’ per Winter where the temperature will drop to –20C for several days. Due to the Resort's coastal proximity, temperatures are moderate throughout the winter season, rarely dipping below –10C (12F) in the valley and --15C (5F) in the alpine during the coldest part of the year. Mountain designs has some nice stuff. I dropped in there when looking for backpacks. Any idea on when winter sales start? Have they started already? How long do they generally last? last edited by Dan at 17:30:57 30/Aug/04 |

what boxhead said.
they have a new store in Toowong, next to subway - huge 25% off everything sale, plus if you have a Virgin Credit Card you get 20% off everything anyway. Virgin Credit Cards cost nothing, so its worth getting one just for the bargains you get around the place for having one. |

My room mate went to Harbour Town on the weekend and said it was absolute gold. Picked up a new pair of runners for $50. Can't remember what brand, but they are pretty cool. All sorts of good bargains to be had there I'm told.
