ok i got this cool 8210 that has uber funky lights.

when the fone is locked, and you press a key, the screen will come up with the usual "press unlock then the * key"

but whats weird is, all the LED's come on.. and don't turn off!. so basically if my fone is on fully battery and i put it in my pocket locked, get bumped and press a key, the leds will come on and wont go off, and drain the battery. i charged my fone for a good 2 hours, and from 9 - 10:50, it went to near on dead.

you mean the standard Blueish white leds that come with the fone?

If so, your fone is screwed.....

ive got one and they fade out after 5 or so seconds... they shouldnt stay on - i dont think its an option at all.

think the software needs fixing o_O

or going back to the shop you got it (assuming you did that) and tell them you want another one.......

btw can you reflash the software on those things?

he bought it used i think.

8210 comes with green lights by default.

Its obviously modded.

get a datacable and upgrade the software or somethin

and yeah, if it has uber funky lights, they probably are a overlay (over the keypad?), pull the case off and see if there are any thin peices of plasic and wire running to the back of the battery - if there is you know then its a cheap s*** thing you get from those markets. Pull it out, throw it away and if need be, get another one. or better still, spend your money on a bottle of coke.

Wow, the lights are different colours....that is really worth a warranty and a short battery life

software. If he f***ed up the mod then the lighs wouldn't work @ all.

yer u can re-flash but you need spesh datacable - of you look on the net you can no doubt find flash files for it. 8210 will come under the heading DCT-3 type phone (make sure you get correct flash file or you will fuk the phone and it wont turn on) also are all the keys working because LEDs staying on is also a sign of water damage.
