Optus is increasing the cost of the 3gig plan so my cable bill is to rise from $64 to $70/month. While i only use about 2gig per month I would like to use more and this might be good time to change (my modem has a faulty power connector too)
i was wondering if other ISP's have similar plans to optus suchas the discount for mobile/broadband/cable tv

I was paying $74 a month but that might be because I have a phoney whoney through Optus too. But I changed to the 6gig plan and now I kick twice as much ass.

our is $69.95. I have phone/tv/net.
If they increase price, they should increase the quality of the product...

The people paying around $75-80 are on the Optus "Standalone" pack, which means they only use Optus for internet. If you're also with them for TV or phone, you get a discounted rate.

if you still have the crappy SB3100 cable modem then get rid of it, it sux.

i have the SB4200 and it is faster to connect(if power goes down).

the old SB3100 took oppx. 2-3 mins to power up :(

the SB4200 connects in 1 sec. and has a standby button as well.

optus is all good. :D

I got a letter yesterday also saying that the price was going from $63.95 to $69.96.

I have also have phone and TV with them.

I got a letter about 2 weeks ago saying TV was going from $24.95 to $39.95. I rang them to get it disconected and they said if I stay connected they will leave the price at $24.95 :)
