Just recently setup a computer with ipcop on it to route the internet and i was looking at a way to block a certain ip from connecting to the internet i found this http://www.zpdee.net/~joecat/ipban.html but the only problem is my version of ipcop is to new anyone know of anything else to do what i am looking for?

My netgear router has all that built in :) It owns for like $150... :)

edit: saw it was IP not ports... what exactly do you want (more details, i don get it)

install software firewall on each workstation on your network... ban that IP.

i want to be able to stop certain people on the network from connecting to the internet but i want to find the most simple way of doing this. I thought it would be easy doing it hrough the router seeing that the internet goes through there.

if i were you, i'd get rid of any gateway settings on the client machine (unless it's xp, cos im not remembering how xp does it's internet connection...)
