I was just reading an article on why women are superior. What i don't understand is why someone would even bother attempting to write such an article. Do you think that there is a superior sex or are there just people that are more highly recognised regardless of gender? Is the gender debate still an issue of the people of today? Personally i think not.

Being a male dominated forum i no doubt will be shut down with in minutes but i am genuinely curious as to how people are thinking these days.

Women can manipulate things to get what they want, right?

I think that it depends on whom the woman is ~ guys aren't stupid - but they do let themselves be used - usually for gratification of some sort in return.

Teen?

Yup, teen ;P

Guys always put women ahead, hoping they'll get something out of it.

It really depends on the individual person. No two people are the same whether they be male or female and each person is good at their own thing.

There are things that men and women are genectically "built" or whatever to be good at but it doesn't always mean they will be.

It's really not an issue of superiority

i think in general chicks are too emotional n s*** when making decisions.

also, there's only 1 sport in the world where a female holds the world record..free-diving.

call me a sexist or whatever, i dont care, but i think both physically and mentally on average men are supererior.

a more "potent" response ? not the word I would have chosen, but then again, we're talking about Hemerage here, and the word "impotent" does spring to mind :)

I think that being superior is a very old concept which doesn't really pertain to our society today. I don't think that politicians or police or royalty are suiperior to us - they are just distinguished in a different way. Gone are the days of complete domination by kings.

plain and simple : men and women are different, hence superiorities as such are usually in different fields where the advantage is due to the different development - therefore you can't really call one superior over the other in general, and you can't call them equal
end of discussion :D

men and women are the opposing complements of a whole, that fitted together can accomplish anything, however to say one is superior to the other is foolish, as there are many different facets in which one can manipulate the standards in order for one gender to come out on top, there are different strengths and weakenesses for each gender, and combined they provide a greater whole than the sum of the two parts, however, that being said, men are better. ;)

a little off topic but a point that s***s me to tears is the whole equality deal. for centuries men have ruled over women and in today's society that male dominance is dwindling. women want to do all things men can for e.g. play rugby union, boxing, equal rights, equal pay ect ect and ultimately a stage where both men and women are one and the same as far as rights go. but when i rase the point to my female friends that yes you want equality but yet you refuse to compete against men in, for example, the olympics. isnt that a hypocritical statement? you want equality all right but a female version of it, which is bulls*** !! its not pure equality with men. the reason females dont protest to compete against men in the olympics is because they would get p0wned in every sport(except a few). if the olympics was unisex competition then there would be like 5 females in a countries team (except china due to the swim team ect).

its a double standard and it f***ing pisses me off !!

and females using their bodies to climb the business ladder and get jobs ect is fair? yes its the males fault for falling for it but s***, when they have that kind of hold over men what we have in power i reckon is fair enough.

all females stop your bitching you havent got it bad at all.

I had a religion teacher once who said that men and women are completely equal, but conditioned into roles by society.

That's such bulls***.

Forget all the super-sensitive sexism, limp wristed bulls*** that gets thrown around now, there are anatomical and physiological differences between men and women. That aint an opinoin, it's a fact, so whoever tries to say that it is sexist and discrimnatory is either completely ignorant, or blinded by this feminist over-compensation bulls***.

Development of all major physiological systems within the body is controlled by hormone release. Skeletal muscle, respiratory, and cardio development in particular are controlled very differently between men and women. As a result, you will see women banned from sports events due to abnormal hormonal levels. What they are doing is using testosterone to mimic the skeletal muscle development and possibly improve respiratory and cardio activity

Other particular differences are seen in response times, reflex times/archs, motor-neuron development etc.

The result is, in general, that men have superior physical capabilities in so far as strength, speed, response times co-ordination etc. Of course, that no longer makes one sex superior to the other, as we no longer live in a world that is dependent on physical capability.

So, in a modern society, where physical capability is second to mental capability, in most cases, it gets pretty hard to say which is the "superior" sex. Does it mean that they are "superior" in general, some kind of "overall" being "better"? To possibly gauge something like that, you'd think that a large, random sample of men and women would have to be tested in an infinte number of situations. The only way to then see which was the "better" or superior response to the situation would be to have some third party (something sexually unbiased? AT all?) assessing each response and somehow rating the effective value of the response??

That seems impossible to do. And I doubt it will ever be done

the sexes will never be equal in teh full sense of the word.

and in society, while there's a lot of fluffy happy cloud bulls*** about everything not being discriminatory anymore, subtly there is still a lot of discrimination. receptionists are usually female, males don't get many chances for such jobs even if they apply. similarly with women in i.t. i think. there are probably hundreds other examples, but i'm not familiar with them myself.

so no the sexes aren't equal, and aren't treated equally either, in current society.

what do i believe in? equality. an impossibility.

Women are better at some things than men and men are better at some things than women. It all comes down to what that person is doing. I don't think of myself as superior to anyone. There's stuff I'm good at and stuff I'm bad at. If I'm better at something than someone else then I'll consider myself superior at that one task but not as a whole.

how many of you have ever seen a female labourer? like a carpenter, electrician, plumber around....i can't remember ever seeing one

what's that got to do with being superior? Just because you don't see women doing that sort of stuff maybe just means they don't want to? I've seen muscly women that could throw me across the room so women can be strong enough to do those tasks but would you want to live with a woman who looks like a man? No, so women probably know this and stick to jobs that keep them looking like women to make themselves appear more attractive to you idiots.....oh I mean guys.

To answer Sancho's point - one former builder's labourer that I know is Senator Kate Lundy, the Shadow Minister for IT.

To generalise and say that one gender is better than another is ridiculous.

Man is obviously the superior gender, ask yourself what is it that the female gender has and does that the male gender would want.

1. Take boobies, we love em, love to play with em, love to look at em, but don't actually want a pair of our own, after all they would look pretty silly.

2. Being able to give birth, please as if, oh the miracle oh the wonder, oh f***!, what do you mean no beer for 9months, even longer if we breast feed, see no. 1.

3. Female sexuality, as if again, I'm not a poof.

4. Female libido, come off it, after I've done the biz once a good sleep is in order, image if I did over and over again and again, I'd be sleepin so much there would be no time for beer.

So as you can see, after all what is it about the female gender that would make ya want to be one.

I dunno mate i think that this could be beneficial for women if you were to do this. We might actually have enough time to get off and then wouldn't have to listen to you complain all the next day. Don't worry we'll hook you up to a tube so you have beer introvenusly ( dunno spelling ) whilst you sleep.
