you can do it if your login client can differentiate between the connections, and send/receive it's data from the right one ie: bind to a specific ip address and only listen on that address we don't have both connections at qgl running from the same one because the bpalogin client we tried it with didn't seem to want to behave as it should in the half an hour or so we gave it before getting bored with trying |

LINUX! i think it can be done in linux but to get a greater speed you would need more modem. The whores cap the modem not the account |

Would it work to set it up like a bastion host (rather than the usual dual-homed gateway thing) sort of arrangement? The cable running straight to a switch/hub, then using the host to bounce the packets from the clients to the bpa gateway? (clients have their gateway set to the host [the actual bpa-given IP?]) Your LAN would be exposed and you might have to do some tricky stuff with IP's on the host but it COULD be done - theoretically? |

here is a though, if you figure out how to run the 2 accounds, just plug the modem into windows, Patch the f***er and uncapp it that way. I dont know if you have to set it up specially , but i think that testra cant remotely flash the bios unless its plugged into a windows box |

I cant remeber clearly but when your setting BPA up for linux there is a spot where you tell it to go through eth0, eth1 etc. |

yes i am using linux and ffs i will say this ONCE ONLY - the accounts are capped NOT THE MODEM thats just plain f***ing fact and i'm sick of having to prove otherwise. doober, all i need is bpa software that can bind each account to a single IP, i can sort-of do it with bpalogin however i'm having problems with it. i thought of using the DHCH bigpond thing but cbf, class c subnetting is easier. |

I was using version 2.0 - there's an option in the config file to bind to a specific address. So once dhcpcd had obtained ip addresses for eth0 and eth1, I put one each of those two addresses into each bpalogin config file |
