It is an A7V right? My server had that problem, just update the BIOS to the latest version (as long as u can actually boot into windoze). |

how many of you ppl who bash sunlit actually had problems with it ? Cuase i got a mobo , harddrive, cdrom and ram from em (admittedly not @ the same time) and they all work. Back to topic tho, those error sound like ACPI just shat itself on you - if you find a way to get into to ure bios , try turning off |

Yes i can say i had puter problems from sunlit. i bought a system from them and on average i had to take it back to them once a month or close enough to that. i cant remember the amount of things that had to be replaced or fixed. so i do have a legit reason! |

Id never buy a system from ne1 tho, simply cause itd be cheaper to get the parts ureself, and a system means they can use the cheapest parts possible ie crap quality |

"just update the BIOS to the latest version (as long as u can actually boot into windoze)." you "Flash" your bios to update it, put it on a boot disk and flash it. y, honestly, y, after EVERYONE has said DONT BUY FROM SUNLIT did you go and buy from sunlit? are you stoned or stupid? |

if it doest boot past your bios screen chances are its your hdd, if you get into bios, try to auto detect your hdd's . if it cant find them then try unplugging it and plugging it back in ( both power and ide cable) |

i assume rubber was referring to the online method of updating your bios, ie thru asus live update which means he can update his bios easily via a windows program while his machine is actually in windows, eds ya dumb f*** |

Yeah, I think that's the best thing you can do. They can't refuse you if you just take it in there. |

This is all assuming it's out of warranty, if its still in warranty (check your reciepts), u shouldn't fiddle with the machine, take it back, and/or lodge a complaint with consumer affairs if unsatisfied. As a last resort, beg, borrow, or steal an internet connection temporarily, find your bios update at http://www.asus.com.tw/products/motherboard/bios.html grab the installer too http://www.asus.com.tw/products/motherboard/bios_tools.html read the online help if u have to http://www.asus.com.tw/products/motherboard/flash.html save the bios update (it'll be a bin file), and the installer to a boot floppy. boot your machine to a prompt, and install from the command line, the help page is pretty straightforward. If sunlit wont repair it, you must have freinds with a net connection, if the bios update doesn't rectify the fault, you may have no choice but replace it. |

Sunlit built my second last system and it was a POS. $1000 for the box with the cheapest s*** they could find - the ram didnt work at all, the mobo blew after 2 weeks and the cpu was farked. I am NEVER going near them again - My new comp motto is if you want a system built well - do it yourself. I have offically not had one problem with this comp i made myself and I recommend to everyone to do it that way. Now lets laff at the people who bring compaqs to qgl ;P. - sR |
