Gaim is one of the best, however, it WONT RUN ON SMOOTHWALL
cause smoothwall lacks a compiler, and for good reason its an internet router, to stop hackers, DONT go installing s*** on it, cause thats not what its for and you risk opening up holes in it. |

It won't run "on" smoothwall like people have said, it will however work on any computers connected to the smoothwall server... Just in case you got confused.

smoothwall doesn't come with any compilers NOR does it even come with an X server.. so good luck running anything designed for X that needs a compiler :)
just run it on a system behind the smoothwall :) |

one question but why the f*** would want to run an instant message client directly from your firewall. How about enable the ports on smoothwall. Also note kmerlin works fine behind smoothwall (bullet) and so does msn 5.0
