I told myself i wouldnt post this but i am anyway

after a long 4 year wait, i have finally moved into a house with cable and today was a prime day in history for me.

Cable is one of the most wonderful things iv spend money on and its purely orgasmic compared to the shackles and chains for dialup

thank you.

wait till you have to go back to dialup at some stage though eds. Ive got bpa at my house but when at amms' we're stuck with s***ty free uni internet (30mb per month) :( Its soo painful but you really appreciate the broadband when you get home.

I went from cable back to dial-up a few months ago, was pretty painful at first because I was used to an always on connection... I really have to limit how much I connect or the local call charges go through the roof.

I have no real need for cable speed, I just really miss the always on...

Anywho congrats eds, just hope you never have to get rid of it :o)

I got no time to play games, rather play with my daughter etc :o) Anyone wanna buy a legit ver of RtCW ?? :p

I have 4 hours cut off, but only 1 phone line and I don't want to tie up the phone line all the time.

It is ok though, I am used to it. Only really use internet for email now.

currently using dial up at our place because *someone* used too much data this month. dialup shared between 3 people is HELL.

you'll get over it, it'll wear off real quick.

until you go back and use dial up - then you'll want cable bad again. going back is just ... bad.

I am in the financial position where I could save 100 a month or instead have cable. I've been too much of a a good little saver all my life to make that compromise now. Fortunately I suck enough at games so as not to care too much about ping etc. But constant connectivity rules :(

I go from work with over 3.5gbit of bandwidth between 6 upstream providers to a 56k modem at home

Now that sucks..
