Doesn't look like that Tenebrae mod. The lighting and shadows look way too good for Quake 1.

It's tenebrae alright

The new version rocks ... reflective water, and a map specially designed for the mod/program (->screenshot)

here is the new reflective water for anyone who cares ...

for all those who missed boxhead's link, basically all you need is [the full version of] quake (technically only the pak files) and ..

Tenebrae Binary

High resolution texture pack

VIS patch

if you want to play that doom3-ish map, you'll just have to navigate your way and download it from

the mapper's site - Download doesn't work with Mozilla .. IE works fine :(

Yes, tenebrae is old news, but this new release rocks, so sue me

Actually a game I wouldn't mind seeing would be a reworked version of shadow warrior.

This is why more publishers need to release source code for their old games so people can go nutz on em.

Imagine our old favorits like UFO:Enemy Unkown, reworked for todays computers.

It would be like Digitally enhanced movies, except it will be general computer beefyness enhanced :D

omg.

It runs like total dogs*** even on low settings. 800x600x32 world reflects, and I get 5-10fps on a GF4ti4200 128mb on a XP1600+ with KT266A 512mb DDR....

is this just my version or are you guys getting the same lack of fps as well?

Athlon 700 + geforce 2 gts

1152x864x32 - full world mirrors + forced water reflection

about 1 or 2 fps
