hey, just wondering, i want to setup my adsl to a network, running 2 or 3 pc's...
i want a switch maybe 8 ports, if i have a few mates round... is it as simple as plugged my dsl router into the switch?? and is there a brand or specific type of switch i should get? |

if it's 2 pc's just get a crosover cable,. If it's three then you'll need a router and it gets tricket the bale guy has excellent tutorials on that. (I think his url is www.ozcableguy.com)

but...
the dsl router should have the ip add. as 192.168.0.1 right? therefore, if that is connected to a switch and you setup your pc connection to look for gateway as 192.168.0.1 whilst it has the ip of 192.168.0.2 would this work? |

I'm no network legend like to boyz og QGL, but try Cable guy he's sight walks you through setting it up, so try there I guess
