Im looking to insure my apartmnet, its got an absolute s***load of electronic stuff and I never really thought about being broken into until the other day. when a friend of mine was robbed.

Also, Besides basic home and contents, I bring home a lot of s*** from work to do work at home, example, a $20,000 DSR camera, a $100,000 trinity system and just s*** like that, so what im asking is does anyone know of a good yet reasonably priced company that would insure for my current contents as well as the stuff i may bring home from work?

How do you do work at home with s*** like that ?? 'test' it ?? :p

I reckon just grab the yellow pages and call some places for quotes...

You probably don't want home and contents insurance if you are renting the place, just insure the contents if you are renting, as if insure your landlords property !!

I think that taking stuff from work to home would make it tricky... Do you really want to be paying to insure your works stuff ?? Surely that is insured by your employer ??

Also I think that you can insure specific items or just insure a total value and claim whatever if you are robbed or anything. My parents do the 2nd one... For example they might insure themselves for $20,000 of contents but not specify stuff, say they get robbed and everything is stolen they can pick and choose what they will actually replace.

One of the reasons is work, the other is for personal use as well, thats why I pay.

How much is it a month to get insureed for like, $50,000 or somthing tho, i would its a lot

we've got home and contents insurance through Suncorp

they are pretty reasonably priced;

Shouldnt work stuff be insured through work?
