AHhh no s*** id pick cable of dsl, but do I have cable in my area? NOPE! they only laid cable in area's that they would make money on.. ie cities and s***..

so as I said before, dsl or 56k.. and seeming dsl works out to be like $20 or $30 above my normal phone bill I chose it.

So yeh im not AIMING for hella low pings, But im hoping they are GOOD atleast! will report back on friday with what pings in getting!

I think you'll find that ADSL ownz cable in about 6 months.

Telstra are gay , there a monoply on the whole adsl scene , gota wait for some real compation.
like Optus (Xyzed)
with real broadband and cheaper prices
but cable still owns xDsl :P

i ranted like a bull when we first got adsl set up at work... however, with time it has proven to ping quite nicely to gaming servers.

actually, ADSL will kick the s*** out of cable in the next year and a half

cable will look like a go connect dial u compared to it

i agree - it seems highly likely to me that cable will indeed get bogged down by Telstra's fear of not making enough profit.
