Plug it all in, set everything to auto :)

Otherwise, 133, 33 and whatever your RAM is spec'd at...

the 7vrxp uses jumpers for changing the cpu multiplier, im pretty sure they default to 10x so you probably want to change that to auto mode so its recognises what multiplier your cpu should use. Your dram speeds and fsb will depend on what speed ram youve got (266,333 etc.).

Well I know my board has options to set it to 1600+, 1700+, 1800+, 1900+ respectively and so forth making is easier... on a 1600+ the default mulitplier is 10.5, not 100% sure but you should be running 133 x 11 or 11.5

Otherwise, kick yourself for getting a crappy motherboard :)

check in ya motherboard manual for a fsb dip switch or jumper.
the dip switch is for bios's with out a fsb controler.
the jumper is to enable 133 fsb properly.

i have the exact same mobo and cpu, i only needed to change one thing, known as "SW1" it changes the clk speed between 100mhz FSB and 133mhz FSB. You want to change it to 133mhz.

Appart from that, it should work fine. As for the ram, it would depend on what ram you have, if you would like an example, i have corsair xms-2400 i have my memory running 2-2-6-2 @ 266mhz ddr. my cpu is running default 11.5*133.

If you want any more help, ICQ me -> 17646300

also, there is a good newsgroup on giga-byte motherboards, i think its alt.periphs.mainboards.giga-byte but go to Groups.Google.Com and search for Giga-Byte

As long as you have the 1.1 revision, there are no problems with the board. If you have the 1.0 revision, bad luck to you.

Basically as a rule of thumb:

1.1 = teh s***
1.0 = s***

Hate to disappoint but Ver 1.0 was dead set horrible, Ver1.1 was still broken, only 2.0 of the GA7-VRXP was workable.

Problem was that they left out a teeeeeeny tiny surface mount voltage regulator, causes no end of troubles particularly if you run a Ti video card.

If your mobo is still under warranty take it back and get them to fix/replace it. I have one in the shop atm being supposedly fixed, if they break it they said they'll just get a new one for me. In the meantime I went with a new soltek, it's kicked my old Gigabyte board in the ass anyway.

Unfortunately that particular Gigabyte board was just such a disappointment. Took me a solid month of researching to isolate that it was a manufacturers flaw. Best of luck
