How long do you want to rent one for?

If it's gonna be a while you should get one on layby thingy and pay it off. Although by the time you finish payments the PC would be obsolete.

Looks like you might have to miss the LAN's. Don't worry, it's not the end of the world. I haven't LAN'd for 3 weeks.

Try going with the local rental shop, that's probably your best bet. Radio Rentals comes to mind.

My friend on the gold coast rented one from Radio Rentals. I think you'll find that they're a franchise all around Australia.

Look in the phonebook for "appliance" or "electronics" rentals - You wouldn't wanna rent from anyone not completely local.

Or, if you're so bent on websites and such - http://www.yellowpages.com.au

I think there's a Radio Rentals at Greenslopes, but don't quote me on that. Plus I agree with Scuzzy about the length of the rental period.
