so here's the deal...
i just got home from school and then i went for a quick game of cs on [ausgamers]server
and it tells me
"You've been banned from this server"
and i have dea why?!?!

plz help..

well don't let the little toe rag use your box for a start, it is obvious he is one of these losers that abuse and harrass other players.
First off install windows 2000 so he cannot get on it without a password, next find out who banned you and ask him nicely if he could unban you..
thirdly smack your brother around the head.......

I banned someone from the ausgamer servers last night (but that would have been after your post). He/she was using the speed cheat (and in such an obvious manner too).
Apparently Saint had to ban a few people yesterday too for cheating. Speed cheating I think though I'm not sure.
Maybe your brother or whomever was using the speed cheat. That's more likely to get you banned than using bad language and stuff. If I was to ban everyone that used harsh language there would be noone left playing ;)

If you can find out your WonId and ask Saint. Maybe he knows the circumstances of it.

And don't let your brother use your computer ;)

Also the new cs stats from what I can gather are going to be based off WonId not name so whenever your brother is playing on your machine he would be affecting your stats too.

Yeah 3 people yesterday were using speed cheats, so they were banned.

there are cheaty scripts that do it

if more thanoneperson use the same cd key their won id is the dame right? well i share mine with a few people so i dont want my stats f***ed up by them , that's a stupid way for the stats to work, each cd key supports 6 users so don't make the stats like that

I heard it might be based off both WonID and player name.

I guess that WonId/name is the best system avaialable but that's not to say it's still all that great. It doesn't let you have stats taken when using someone elses computer and it still lets the stat fiends change their nicks when they are about to die.

Still, it's also less prone to abuse than a pure nick one and allows more than one person to use the same WonId without upsetting the other users stats.

What is really needed of course is something like QuakeWorld used to have.

using a WON id system is stoopid cos i have lots of friends that aren't so great at CS and i always let them play cos i sooo kind :)
but if its gonna be like that then my stats are gonna be really bad :(
why not have how it is now and also have a system where it shows u the names that ppl use using the WON id.....

Yeti I have to say I'm suprised to hear of you getting banned I have always found you to be a fairly decent guy on any server that i have seen you on,even when you haven't been having a good day your still as polite as anyone else.

i think what they mean by the wonid/name thing is that you won't have to worry about other people with the same name f***ing up your stats, so there can be two "freds" and their stats will be different because they have a different wonid. but if you don't want someone to f***up your stats on ur wonid get them to change ur name.

i have only seen yeti once on a server and he was cool.

i got banned from the ff server for killing team mates 4 a week it was because ther are so many idiots on there that shoot you down to like 20 health and so i kill em i warned them but they never learn so now i dont play in servers with ff on because most ppl are just dumb f***s that shoot you then wonder why you kill em go figure...dumb bastards
