There has been a new feature released on Auscstrike.com called Counter-Strike - The end is nigh. While I dont agree personaly with what hunter is saying in his feature, some might:

Up until recently Counter-Strike has enjoyed a nice virtual monopoly of the online gaming genre. Now, thanks to mods such as Frontline Force and Day of Defeat this stranglehold is slowly being released as more and more gamers wake up to the fact that Counter-Strike is nothing more than hype, and what little gameplay it does have is in fact quite basic.

While I go out of my way to never agree with Hunter, I think that cs is a fad.

Once the next big thing comes out most will move on, the same with most other fps'

face it, its no quakeworld. Once you've played it for a week you've seen it all. there arent any new skills to master. The only thing you have to strive for is getting the most autoshotty stats?

I hate to be invaded by Aliens because how do they know for sure they can actually conquer us? Maybe we're just hiding the better, more powerful weapons until they think they've just about finished the invasion. Then we quickly attack with the hidden weapons and REALLY shock them!
