whats the deal with warez sites crashing my machine?

whenever i try to dload the no-cd q3 patch from gamecopyworld, it closes down IE and closes my task bar too. i've tried like 5 times now.

other sites do it too simply when browsing them

somethings truly fuxored on gamecopyworld. all the dload links on any patch goes to the same place, and only 1 works, and when u click it it crashes u.
