i cant believe u have to buy it and it isnt just a downloadable mod... imho its not worth it

and why does it seem to be running so crap on so many people's computers?

thats my peiece

oh.. and apparently its 400meg.. thats a bit harsh as well

on the other hand, if u really love ctf badly, and your getting sick of plain old ctf, team arena might keep u interested for a day or two

You can't believe its not a downloadable mod, then criticise it for being 400mb... sheesh, make up your mind.

400mb is like two-thirds the size of the base game.

Team Arena is awesome fun, and good value at $30. Unfortunately no one is really playing it at the moment.

From the description phantomlord gave me, i'm not particularly interested in it actually.

I was thinking it was a whole tribes thing but it's just a polymorphic enhanced gayification of q3 ctf =P

I'm having a ball with it on a server that gets a fair number of players each night.

I find that the powerups give all the best features of the techs in Q2CTF, without the unbalancing effects (since each team gets it's own powerups that spawn in it's base, you don't get one team owning because they hold all the powerups).

Harvester is quite fun, although I have found one problem - I was able to get the Guard powerup and camp a BFG spawn spot in MPTERRA1. I just kept killing people, and a couple of scouts kept capping the skulls. Still, with some tactics they finally took me down.

The main pain in the ass is that everyone keeps wanting to play the terra maps, which are so huge that there is no action with the 6-8 people that the servers average right now. When the player levels pick up, they will be great fun.

It is easily worth the $30. I think I might have to join some RA3 servers and let people know that Team Arena is more fun. Well - a different kind of fun.

Yeh, I played a bit of team arena with some friends, it was pretty good 'cept for Nathan and Ross were owningz me and the rest all night!

I reckon it would be worth the $30, but I already go it, so why should I bother buying it? :)

TA is excellent fun. Well worth the $29.95 and is very very professionally done. The new interface is somehting they should have done for Q3 from the beginning.

Harvester and Overlord will own joo!
