for some reason i cant acceleration to work for D3D, DirectDraw or AGP textures.
I'm using a riva tnt2 ultra with the 5.30 drives and DX8.

Can anyone help?
Before you say "D3D is ghay! OpenGL 0wnz!", i'm trying to run sacrifice which needs D3D apparently.

try dx7

Look in the directX control panel. You might have acceleration turned off for some reason.

well i cant uninstall dx8 without reinstalling win2k and i'd kind of like to not have to do that

You need to have the newest drivers, in your case the newest Detonator drivers.

i dont think so because i know D3D works with these drivers (5.30), it worked under win98 but since ive upped to win2k it doesnt

did you download the win2k drivers?

yeah i did.

I just reupgraded win2k and put the 5.30s back in and now DDraw acceleration works but D3D and AGP texture acceleration still dont

i think D3D is being disabled somewhere but i dont know where

you're way behind on the drivers tho... they are up to 6.31 on the nvidia site atm..

yeah but the newer ones dont work too well with my card apparently.
