B105 from 3-8ish in the post van.

Hamish and Andy for 2 hours
Kyle / Jackie O for 1 hour
Start of the Hot 30, Tim/Bigsy

All that silly pop music gets stuck in my head, I don't listen to ANY of it outside of post.

I've been listening to 102.1 4ZZZ it's quite entertaining really, the presenters say the most random things, and today I enjoyed a spoken word song.

I have 94.9, 96.50, 97.3, 104.5, 105.3 & 107.7 on my radio in the car. I switch between them depending what is on.

Refuse to listen to Nova, they swear on air and claim it's to suit their audience - I am their audience and it doesn't suit me.

All those and 90.5 Flick till I find music, stay till they play more talking then it would take to play a song.
Usually leave it on w/e channel past 9 when all the bulls*** 'shows' stop, which ever I was on at 8:58 am.

Kat: You don't listen, clearly you're not their audience.

(Also have FM transmitter if I get pissed off at too much talking)

==ageing.

I'm going the podcast route.

Thanks to BillyHardball I'm now a Skeptics Guide to the Universe addict. Want to go see em in Australia I think. Haven't fully decided but I'll look into it.

Also regularly: "The Naked Scientists" and "Naked Astronomy", "Stuff you missed in history class" (love this one, two chick presenters makes a nice change), "Stuff you should know" (cool, just two pretty average guys researching science stuff to talk about - topics like "How does the sun work?"

Edit: Man just reading this s*** back bores myself of myself. I've had a few beers though, s'all good.

I looked into the Skeptics Guide Aussie visit - it's in Nov this year and it's called The Amazing Meeting Australia (TAM Australia) in Sydney. I'd fly up to it. November is a s*** time for me though, have to wait for the dates and prices and stuff.

epic fail, the two biggest douche bags on air
I listen to my phone through the car, which is why I enjoy this time of year because I get to update my music collection a lot easier

using the jjj 100 list I can go grab a few albums that I know to be good and I'll actually bother plugging my phone into the ONLY fyucking device that it is "allowed" to sync to, and update my music

I flick between Nova, b105 and jjj to whichever station is chatting as I'd rather listen to them talk s*** than listen to highly repeated music that I'll most likely hear while I'm at work in the workshop. If I want music I chuck my iphone on.

Hamish and Andy in the afternoon is getting a bit boring. And their voices are starting to irritate me. Actually so does labby from B105 he always SHOUTS!

Anyone know anyone who knows LABBY maybe we can stop him SHOUTING thanks to QGL!

They're all s*** when I go to work, not one of them is anything but a bunch of whiney a******s bitching about something or telling idiotic jokes or playing dumb pranks. What makes these wankers think we want to drive to work by the sound of their voices? I gave up on the radio years ago & listen to my ipod in the car all the way to work. No more self absorbed dick heads going on & on about stuff it's all music all the time.

If you're reading this nova, b105, 97.3, etc YOU SUCK! Less talking more music IYP.

I don't miss the traffic reports either because these days the M1 is nothing but a racetrack for snails thanks to people not being able to drive worth s***, OH NO A DROP OF RAIN HAS LANDED ON MY WHIDSHIELD I MUST SLAM ON MY BRAKES AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DRIVE IN THE WET f***f***f***f***f***, or d*******s in the fast lanes doing 70, GTFO.

Radio Red 99.7 for the northsiders. I wake up to it every morning. It's great because it's a halfway station - ie doesn't have three assinine boring dolts who think they're the centre of the universe to bore me with all their stupid life stories, but not the other end of the scale either, some super srs john laws get cranky about everything unjust without looking into the facts sort of radio. There's just one dude (Wazza) who is very un-annoying, sometimes amusing, gives up to date news and facts pertaining to the northside and plays some good music thats good to wake up to (sting & the police, crowded house, madness etc). I don't want to hear 'sexy bitch' on my radio when i wake up, nor do i want to hear some 4bh square dancing music either.
That's what works for me.

And when i'm in the car i madly punch the button on my falcon steering wheel that changes stations, i mash it until i get a station with a non-s*** song on. This sometimes involves me going through all my FM1 (96.5, 97.3, 99.7, 104.5, 105.3, 106.9), FM2 (91.1, 91.9, 92.7, 94.9, 100.3, 101.5) and AM (693, 936, 693, 936, 693, 936) until i am no longer annoyed by what i hear.

Oh and hamish and andy are the only duo/trio on the radio who are good and not s***house.

Order of preference for AM is 102.1 4zzz big gap then 107.7 jjj followed closely by 106.1 classic fm
AM 792 / 936 most of the time 'cept if it's a cricket day then 612, 5 minutes of kerry o'keefe is better than anything on the radio

Old lady alert.

I normally just do Nova in the mornings and afternoons. It's usually a half a each way so it's not too bad. I actually think the afternoon show is now better than the morning show.

Is Ash ever coming back (not that I think that's the problem) or is he still drinkin' mad booze?

She does alot more than swear for $10 bucks sLaps, GET ON IT.

I listen to Nova if I have to listen to radio which is a fair bit. I try to switch it up but they all suck.
Nova swearing I actively like, morning show is no where near what it was, kip and ash not being there hurts them. Michelle is doing a good job carrying the show but the others they have in there suck.

Benny Te'o is funny as hell, he should be on full time.

Hamish and Andy.... driving you hoooooooooooome.

My favorite segment of the show is when one of them has to ring up about an ad from the trading post not knowing what it is and has to guess it based on 5 questions or less.

lols me everytime.

oh yeah.....what a legend is old skull.

ABC 612 all day for me...even stream it at work. love Richard Fidlers conversation hours (most of the time. and the regular segments, Roley Sussex the language man, The Friday All Stars, and that random bloke who Richard talks to and sounds a bit like Sam Kekovich but i'm not sure if it is?
Plus AM and The World Today....and yes Madonna King in the morning and Kelly HD in the arvos, love them all.
mainly because i just hate adds and jibberish, even on TV i mute all ads as soon as they start. really annoys my wife when i've muted the ad then got up top go do something and the show comes back on ha ha.
but yeah i'm an old (Aunty loving) fart....go ABC!!

The J's in the Car, Mainly The M's at work cos its the what most of the radios people have on play, which is great if ya live in the 80's.
every now and then u get a 90's song, its weird ay, i think skyhooks are bigger now then back in the day.- Fail ! But in sayin that, u still get the classic like pink Floyd and the Zep's.

Can't stand jjj

How come?

triple j by far my most listened to, but not a purist like jmr. I'm not a big fan of Zan and Dr Karl has really ground me down over the last 10 years to the point where I switch the station now.

I love Paul Verhoeven (Saturday), he is fun to listen to. Alex & Tom I'm digging. The Doctor is annoying me now, he says 'very very soon' too much. Count how many times he says that in a show and let me know. I really loved J & The Doctor a few years back though.

Kate O'Toole gives me the irates. She....speaks....like....this....and....drives...me....crazy. f***ing string a sentence together already, lady! The other Hack reporters are good though, Tom Tilly et al. The topics are about 60% lame though - that's the main problem for me.

I love Rosie on Super Request. That bird is crazy like a cuckoo but she's just awesome.

FTR, triple j is on 107.5 here ;-) It's a cool number because it's the very last radio station on the FM dial.

Only time I listen to jjj is when they have Dr Karl or some other interesting segment on. And Australia Day - it's the only time I find they play good music.

I thought it was 107.7 in brisbane and then 96.1 for Northern NSW, didn't know there was a specific GC frequency?

EDIT just looked it up:

Brisbane ABC triple j QLD 4JJJ 107.7 FM
Gold Coast ABC triple j QLD 4JJJ 97.7 FM

Yeah it is sick, when you're down the gold coast you can time travel between 96.1 and 97.7
