I remember a while back someone on AGN/QGL wanted to print out a website exactly as it appeared (Scooter?)

I tried to help solve the problem at the time, couldn't help.

Anyway, a good mate showed me this addon called Fireshot, and it's bloody awesome!

It can auto-upload as well, but you need an account (EasyCaptures). I just use it to captured images and then upload manually to the usual suspects.

It's awesome for web devs when you're trying to explain to someone where you want to position some widget or ad-block. Just quickly snap page, load in editor, position a standard sized 468x60px ad or whatever to where you want it to show a client.

Here's an example of our best friend's site (85% compressed JPG, although the addon can do PNG no worries too):

forgive me but, what's wrong with alt printscreen or the screenshot tool built into the os?

The windows Snipping Tool seems to do what you would want as well?

I use a combination of Scrapbook (best addon ever!) and Screengrab (save an image of what's visible or the entire frame including off-screen content)
for saving pages, depending on whether I want to store the actual text/content or just take a screenshot.

Scrapbook: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/427
Screengrab: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1146

Ok, the Classifications Board page wasn't a good example of the strength of this baby. Allow me to demonstrate on a different page.

Steps:

1. Click Fireshot button - takes full screenshot and opens in image editor, save as JPG/PNG
2. Upload to ImageShack

(no cutting and pasting required, perfect full-length page shot!)

+1 for screengrab here. Use it at work all the time.

But can see the appeal for the one you're suggesting Pinky. Might give it a go.

I just had a look at Screengrab, I think that does full page too if you want, looks good. Will check it out.

Scrapbook is also neat. Sent that to my mate who will have a use for that.
