Robert Rodriguez was originally thought to be attached as director, however within days of this rumor coming out online it was confirmed that he was attached to write and produce instead.

I don't think it's supposed to be a remake, they're calling it a reboot although I don't even know why it would have to be. Both the original Predator movies were pretty isolated events and it would be safe for anyone to ignore that AvP trash.

He says all the right things and I like the idea of then not getting another arnold-esque actor for the lead role.

The only one of Antal's movies I've seen is Vacancy and although it wasn't too shabby, it's not the kind of film you could really gauge his ability to direct Predators on.

Armoured (the movie that Rodriguez supposedly hired him based on) is out in the US next week, but doesn't come out in Aus until Feb 18; rolleyes.

I'd rather they make Machete than f*** with the Predator Legacy.

Action wise I reckon Requiem was far superior to AVP and it didn't have that lame bit with a predator teaming up with a human.

I reckon pretend they never existed and go back to the roots like the Batman franchise.

I think I'd much prefer to see Aliens prequel with Riddly Scott.
